Abandoned Science Lab, 3rd Person Narration
Ian had no choice but to close the portal. The soldiers were overwhelming and he couldn't push them off any longer. They regret leaving Maci behind for obvious reasons, but it really meant having another person to save. However, there was no time to rest. Noises echoed through the four hallways. The team was located at an intersection, with the entrance to the portal dimly shown in the room across. Metal sounds were clattering against each other and growls flooded through the rooms. These zombies smelled them and were beginning to get aggravated.
Kianna and Jason pushed the table to seal the door from any breakins, but they knew sooner or later, the horde would destroy the glass. They will have their Order to go. (You get it? They will have their order to go? No? Okay keep reading.) None of them had any more weapons. Mike now had a broken, very dented in bat from Deanimation SpaceStation. Ian remembered the weapon he had from the alley, he pulled it out, and tried to switch it on with the power button. He read the bright orange words 'Low Battery'. He sighed, and looked around for any chargers, but there were only utensils, broken wires, flashing lights, and torn up mats thrown over tables. "Crap, we've gone to far to die now," he said. Mike to which replied, "Superheros can't just die from undead maggot-freaks. There has to be a way outta here. On the other side was the portal to home." They looked at each other, as if they were communicating, which couldn't be possible... could it? The horde banged on the wall, making more cracks on the bloody glass. Jason was sitting on the table, knowing it would be the end of them, the Order of Space Squad. Just then, they heard screeches. Each creature falling to the ground, dead, again. Could it be that the scientist who was saving them? Or who could it be? Ian saw the horde turn to their left and walk that way. This was the perfect time to run. As he got up, he told everyone to stay quiet and run to the portal without getting bit. Mike and Jason lifted back the table quietly and opened the glass door, slowly. Suddenly more came from the opposite halfway, sprinting. Kianna used teleportation to get to the portal. Mikey, obviously went invisible; however was tackled by one of Them. Mike got caught off guard, struggling to keep it off him. A hooded figure busted through, throwing and slamming the zombie onto the glass wall, shattering it. Mike looked up at the figure. It was a girl, who wasn't from the Order, nor anyone they recognized. She pulled him up and they headed to the portal.
The group ran from the chasing horde, and then the new girl spoke: "You could at least say thanks for saving you from them!" Jason exclaimed gladly, "Thanks, whoever you are!" They slowed down, and looked back, for anymore of them. She caught her breath and spoke, "The name's Luna. And you do realize Halloween is over, so you can put your costumes away." Kianna was offended by this but didn't say anything. Ian said, "I'm Ian, this is Jason, over there somewhere is Mike, she's Kianna. We lost a member, but she's been turning against us for some reason." "It's her, their leader. She gets into minds of victims and turns them against their allies. My group got separated because it. I know where a cure is for that, but we'll need to go back into that space station again. Until then I'll join you guys for now." Jason was glad there was a new member of the Order. Ian wondered who she was referring to. But then it clicked into his head like no other. Cora.
They all stayed at Ian's place, who was nice enough to offer to share a safe zone, until next morning. Ian was watching TV with Mike, and Jason already dozing off. Ian wasn't tired at all, for he stayed up until 2 in the morning. He kept thinking about his parents and Maci. He tried again and again, planning what the next step is. The very next day approached, and Jason woke up, but noticed Luna wasn't to be seen. He stretched, got out of the house, and there she was, scavenging around the house. While she was looking for anything useful, he yawned, and walked over to her, "You're up early." And for the second, maybe third time he was greeted with a weapon seconds from being decapitated. Luna sighed and rolled her eyes, "All I found was batteries, flashlights, and some screwdrivers for Them." They weren't the only ones up, Kianna was roaming around the streets alone, catching the autumn air. She was then stopped by a small baby Triceratops. It wasn't a zombie at all. The poor thing was alone and afraid, and backed away from Kia. She carefully crouched down to calm it down. The creature became content, and followed her around like a pet. But then, it wasn't walking right. She noticed it was limped from cuts on its right leg. Her boyfriend Ian had lent her the gun so she can figure out more about it. She turned the knob, making it read from Portal, to Destruction. She turned it once more, then it said it produced a symbol of a cross. "Well, let's hope this works." She pointed the gun at the dinosaur, looked away, and pulled the trigger. It grew to be larger than a car, with steel plates on it for armor. She was amazed at what she had done.
Just then a car drove by, speeding onto a street that zoomed by the two. Behind the car ran a horde of undead, amazingly not too far behind. Some of Them noticed Kianna, and turned the other direction. The Triceratops offered her a ride back to Ian's place. It ran until the horde was out of sight. Ian walked out of the door, and yawned. He noticed his girl riding a giant dinosaur, and was gonna freak out. Right then, Luna came and told him that it was time to head back. He nodded and gathered the others for a meeting. Luna discussed what everyone had to do and the location of the entire lab. She had learned what everyone was capable of.
Luna stepped in the portal to make sure they weren't going to be overrun, and signaled them over. She whispered, "Everyone, you know what you're supposed to do, so move out." Mike used his invisibility to scan the area for any guards, he cleared up two rooms, leading to an opening. Then Kianna came in and rushed through 3 more rooms contained with undead. They were too slow for Kianna and were immediately taken down. She opened a way to the staircase upstairs, since the elevators didn't work. Jason did a speed run in the upper level, and there it was, the Emergency Room. Everyone arrived where he was and Ian slowly opened the door, and there he was again, the Man. Then he thought, 'That guy is still here? What is he doing anyway?' He called to the man, "Hey bozo, we're looking for an antidote for our friend you shot." He turned around and smiled, "Ah, we meet again, and I have been looking everywhere for the cures, as well. I only found one in a spacecraft somewhere. I just lost my C-03 gun." He began to look around when Ian pulled out the weapon he was talking about. "You mean this?" "Oh Yes! Now if you can just hand it over..." Ian pulled away, "Uh uh, not so fast," he replied, the man was getting frustrated, "Look kid, I've been working at this place for 26 years, I know what I'm doing." Ian made a deal; if the scientist showed them where the cure was, then he should have his stupid ray-gun back. He groaned and finally accepted. He asked for a portal to Deanimation SpaceStation, so before Ian was about to open it, they heard banging on the door, and groans. Jason said, "I could've sworn I everything..." Mike sighed, "I got it" and took out his spiked-wooden bat. The scientist offered special weapons, that were better than what they equipped. A steel bat, plated with metal spikes; throwable hatchets that come right back to you; ninja stars that propel themselves to the enemy; and a rifle that shot pellets of acid, which could disintegrate almost anything. The man went on, "It's only a few things we've been working with in these labs. There were new elements discovered many years prior, that provided a surmountable product of power. Nothing like this has been found on this Earth. Until now. I see that you also have had superhuman capabilities. It was our first plan to program a bug that would have its victim take this serum that provide powers such as these. But we weren't completely sure it would have worked. It only chooses those that it deems fit for the job. My friends, I believe we have a bigger problem. There is a force that needs to be stopped and it's on that ship." He gave Ian new batteries for the C-03 to operate again. He also handed Luna a serum, so that Maci could be helped with. So then, Ian, Jason, Mike, Kianna, and Luna were ready for the final boss level. The zombies were beginning to chip down the door, breaking it in seconds. The Order stepped into the portal equipped with weapons and lightweight armor, and fought their way into heroism.
