~No one's POV~
A week. It's been a week since Lacie's been gone, and things have somewhat returned to normal. Everyone in the Avengers has gone back to doing their normal missions, Camp Half-Blood has been rebuilt. Unfortunately, Percy and Nico have not been all that healthy. The two have barely slept since Lacie had been napped. Percy is constantly trying to find ways to get his girlfriend back; Nico spent most of his days wondering the underworld.
"Percy... Please eat more." Tony begged his grieving nephew. "I'm not hungry." Percy sighed, getting up from the table and going to the pool. "Anything?" Steve sighed when Nico appeared. "Father is doing all he can right now..." Nico sighed, plopping down on the couch. "How is she?" Steve asked. "Bad... I can't even... I can't..." Nico started to break down as the images of his sister flashed in his mind. "Nico." Will sighed, taking him into his arms. "It hurts, so much. I can't do shit! All I can do is watch! Watch her get raped by that sick fuck over and over!" Nico shouted angrily, gripping onto Will's shirt. "Well, your dad is up to something... So, it won't be long until you and him come up with some rescue plan." Will soothed his sobbing companion.
"That's just so messed up." Tony sighed, running his hand down his face. "She really is in hell." Natasha mumbled. Steve let the guilt overwhelm him as he sat around the meeting table with the other members. "Are all gods messed up like this?" Clint asked out of no where, looking at Thor. "I am ashamed to admit that most are." Thor sighed. "Why can't we just go and rescue her?" Clint groaned in frustration. "No one can enter the underworld and return. Tis not some place you enter and leave free of will." Thor answered Clint.
"How is Percy fairing?" Thor asked Tony. "He's... Better... Kind of..." Tony answered. "It takes a while to get over a loss, especially one of Percy's." Thor replied. "Poor kid though. So young." Clint sighed. "Nico probably has it worse, he sees her every other day. Yet, he can't do anything." Natasha said in her monotone voice. "He already lost his older sister, now he lost his other one. It's a huge blow." Steve joined.
~Time skip three days~
"Percy, please eat." His father begged him, holding up the plate of food to his only son. "I already did." Percy half lied, he did eat, only it was six hours ago. "Percy, you look like a walking skeleton." His father sighed, sitting down on the couch next to Percy. "It still hurts so much." Percy's voice cracked as he brought his knees up to his chest. "Percy, I know it hurts, but you can't let this effect your health like this." Poseidon sighed.
"As much as I don't want to interrupt your little family time, I think the news that I have to deliver is important." Hades spoke up, interrupting the father son moment thingy. "Brother, what brings you here?" Poseidon asked, standing up and facing Hades. "I have figured out how to get my daughter back." Hades' words were music to Percy's ears. He quickly shot up and ran at Hades, grabbing onto the front of his coat, "How? Tell me!" Percy demanded. "Gather your friends." Hades told his nephew, shoving him off.
Percy wasted no time in rounding everyone up. Nico stood by his father while everyone else sat on the couches. "Is it true that you know of a way to get your daughter back?" Thor asked. "Yes, and I might be asking to much of you all, but I cannot enter the area of her imprisonment due to my stupid brother's curse," thunder boomed from the skies outside, "Oh shut it you old ass fart!" Hades shouted at his brother before continuing, "Nico cannot rescue Laci himself, and none of you can enter and leave the underworld free of will, especially Tartarus. I have been pulling some strings, and have figured out a way to let the whole lot of you into the underworld, and into Tartarus." Hades pulls out a a small chest and opens it, revealing eight rings. "These rings are enchanted and will protect you in the underworld. Now, the only downside is that they will only protect you for an hour in Tartarus." Hades hands Percy the box, who takes a ring out.
"Once you enter Tartarus, the protection charm will take effect, and it will fade as you remain in there. If an hour is up and you are not out, then you will die. God or not." The last part was directed at Thor. "I'm afraid this is as much as I can do, the rest is up to you." And with that, Hades left in a burst of flame.
"We need to come up with a plan because we only have a limited amount of time." Steve took charge as everyone sat around the meeting table. "Nico, how long does it take to reach where Lacie is from the entrance?" The soldier looked at Nico who pondered for a bit. "If we go at a decent or fast pace, and if we make it there in one go without any distractions, then about 10 minutes give or take." Nico answered after some thinking. "We'll say 15 just in case." Steve looked at Nico who gave him a nod. "Alright so 15 minutes to go there, and 15 back, so that's half our time already. If we have to engage in any fight, we try to end it in a minute or so because who knows how long it will take to get Lacie away from Kronos." Steve continued, earning nods from everyone to continue his plan. "If it seems like we can't end a fight in about a minute, then one will stay behind, the rest will continue. We cannot waste the time we have."
"We shouldn't run into any problems though because everything fears Nico down there." Percy added his input. "Even so, there will be monsters that will attack sometimes if they are really gutsy or just tired of being down there. The main rule when we are down there: do not pay attention to anything. The souls will try to manipulate and they can get pretty tricky. Just know that what ever you see is not real." Nico told everyone. "I will lead the way because I know that place like the back of my hand, but Captain will be in charge of giving orders, and unless I say otherwise, we follow his orders." He added, earning nods from everyone.
"We'll get a good night rest and go tomorrow after a good meal." Steve decided, earning no objections.
'Just hang in there baby, we're coming.' Percy thought.
