Million Dollar Dreams

Chapter 5

Kirk and I decided that we'd spend the night at Aunt Tay and Uncle George's house. I thought it would be easier, since we're all getting up early for the Doctors appointment. After, we would head to the new house. Today was going to be a very exciting day, I was very anxious.

I looked over at the alarm clock next to Jalen's bed, he was sleeping on the couch while Kirk and I slept in his room. I was happy that Jalen was coming with us, I want him to be a part of this pregnancy. The time was almost seven, I tapped Kirk's shoulder to try and wake him up, but instead he just rolled over.

"Kirk! Get up!" I said, pushing him. "It's almost seven, and we both have to take showers."

"I'm up, I'm up.." He yawned. "We could take a shower together." He smiled, his eyes still half closed.

"No... That would be to weird for me. Your family uses these showers." He rolled his eyes.

"Fine, hurry up then." He said as he turned over on his side to get more rest.

I took a very quick shower, when it got out is was almost 20 past. I thew my towel at Kirk.

"Get ready punk ass!"

"Alright! Alright!" He popped up from under the covers. "Damn."

"I'm sorry, I'm just excited." I smiled. "Who could blame me?" 

"I am too, but I'm wiped out babe." He dragged himself into the bathroom. 

A few minutes after Kirk got into the shower, and I was fully dressed and ready, I walked out into the living room and saw Jalen sitting up on the couch, already dressed.

"You look beautiful." He smiled as I sat down beside him. "Good morning by the way."

"Good morning! And thank you, you always look nice." I smiled, nudging his arm.

"You're such a flirt." He said, rolling his eyes. I could tell his cheeks were starting to get a little red. 

"Only cause you are!" I laughed. I sat back on the couch,letting my body sink into it. Even though I'm excited, I'm beyond tired too. 

"I'm not a flirt." He said with a modest tone.

"Yes you are! Seriously Jalen.."

"I can't help myself." He licked his lips. "I don't flirt with many girls to be honest." He shrugged. "I just think you're so-"

I felt a hand on my shoulder, followed by a kiss on my cheek. I looked up to see Kirk.

"We're all ready babe." Kirk smiled. I could see in his eyes just how tired he really was. I'm use to being up at this time, so it didn't bother me as much. "Your mom, Tay and Uncle are outside waiting.."

"Okay, lets go then." I smiled back at him, giving him a real kiss. I looked over at Jalen as we both stood up from the couch. The look on his face made it seem like he was a little sad, or maybe just annoyed. I wasn't sure really. He faked a smile, so I gave him one back.

"Lexus!!" My mom yelled, giving me a tight, great, hug. "Who's driving with who? We're taking two cars."

"Kirk! You're coming with me. We gon have a nice little talk on the way." Uncle George slammed his massive hand down on Kirk's shoulder. "Jalen can stay with you. If that's what he wants."

I looked over at Jalen, who hasn't left my side since the couch. He still had that same look on his face.

"I wanna stay with Lexus." He looked back at me, smiling again. The look in his eyes said it all, he didn't even have to speak.
