"I'm taking the back roads." The lady yelled out intesley, swerving through the busy lanes. "Hold on!"

This lady was driving like this was NASCAR, but I didn't care at this point. My whole body was hurting now, every six minutes or so was a contraction lasting a minute, and trust me, they were almost unbearable. I huffed and puffed as the next one came upon me, making me break out in a sweat. I cracked the window, letting the wind slap me in the face. It was a cool day out, so the breeze felt really good. I kept my eyes closed, as if this was some type of dream. It still couldn't register in my head that in the next few hours she'd be here. The love of my life, the child I've always wanted, Kirk and my child was finally going to be here. The last thing I really wanted was the press trying to get pictures and storming the hospital, so maybe a suprise delivery was good.

I only had six percent on my phone left, so I used it wisely, calling up Dr. Burgos, since she was the one delivering my baby. Come on, pick up! Pick up! I said to myself, listeing to the phone ring.

"Hello, are you okay?" Dr. Burgos answered.

"She's coming! She's coming!"

"Who is?" She asked stupidly.

"The baby! She's coming! And soon at that! I'm on my way to Mercy right now!"

"Lexus, I'm in Dallas right now, I'm not going to able to make it to Mercy in less than ten minutes! Look, I know a few doctors there, I'll make some calls, you'll be fine, and your little girl will be fine too! Just remember what we talked about, deep breaths, and relaxation."

"Easier said than done!"

"it's hard, I know. Is Kirk with you?"

"No, i wish." I said with all seriousness. "But I'm meeting him there."

"Alright, call me if you need me, okay?" She said.

"Fine, fine. My phone is going to die, I'll call you later."

"I'll be at the hospital later, I will come and see you, okay?"

"Yes, okay, thats fine."

"We're almost there, okay?" The lady said. "Oh, and by the way my name is Josephine." She smiled. "This happened to me too, a looooong time ago, my water broke in the supermarket, I had to drive myself to the hospital."

"My daughers name is Josephine." I smiled back.

"This is your second child?"

"First, I'm naming her after my aunt."

"Aw, how sweet. Hey, look the hospital is right up the street."

"YES! Finally!"

We pulled up to the emergency room entrance, my contractions starting to get a little closer together, and even stronger. Josephine helped me out of the passengers seat, holding me up as I struggled to walk into the ER. To our surprise there wasn't the normal amount of chaos in the ER. Josephine walked me up to the desk, telling the nurse I was about ready to pop a baby out, her exact words. They put me in a wheelchair, wheeling me back into a room. They pushed me their so fast I swore I was going to get whiplash, but I didn't care, the pain was too much to bare.

"I'm doctor Bush, your OB called me, so I'm going to deliver your baby, I'm going to check how many centimeters you are, okay?" I just nodded yes, as he talked. He sat down to see in between my legs, I didn't even notice anything he was doing, my eyes were shut, and I was trying to keep calm. "You're exactly seven right now. In an hour I'd say, you're going to to have this baby." He spoke, his hand on my knee. "Keep taking deep breaths, you're doing a great job. I'll be back in ten minutes to check up on you."
