Ayase's POV
Now it's time for the second part of the course. The first challenge is an air vortex, something like a hurricane. The second challenge are weapons being thrown at you by the machines. The third challenge is being thrown into a deep pool with deadly poison in it. And you have to be in there for 30 minutes. It's either you die... or live.
This time I made Jun go first. He jumped into the hurricane and was being thrown in every direction. He was struggling to focus, even though it's obvious that he can't. He finally uses his fire powers to fight off the wind and was dropped to the ground.
Weapons of all kinds shooted out, a few hitting him. "Ow!" He hisses, frowning as a long cut forms on his arm. He dodges and blocks all of the weapons, soon jumping into the poisoned waters.
"Be careful!" Akane and Natsuki warns. My lips are pursed as I watched him suffer. He was barely concious after 30 minutes. He slowly got up and layed on the floor, breathing heavily as poison probably entered into his wounds. "I'm next." I quickly volunteer, hopping into the eye of the hurricane.
I was able to get out by using water to push me out. The pressure helping out a lot. Then here comes the weapons. I make a barrier made out of air and simply walked through. Enchanters simply needs to think more. I roll my eyes as I jumped into the poisoned water.
I made a protective bubble, the stench of poison ever so slowly penetrating through my bubble. After the 30 minutes, I was able to hop out of the pool. I rush to Jun and grab his wound, using my healing powers to extract the poison.
"Come on. Get up." I demand, worry growing in me. After a few seconds, he sat up and groaned, looking around. "The poison got to me, huh?" He weakly laughs, eyes showing anger and shame. I nodded. "I don't blame you. You've got an open wound." I shrug as he nods.
When I turned around, Akane was already halfway through the course. The waters were affecting her. I noticed that she was getting weaker since she was swallowing some water. I grit my teeth.
"Akane, you get out of the pool right now! It's already 30 minutes." I tell her, stepping forward as Jun rested up. Akane slowly opened her eyes, only to see it close again. "You are stronger than that! You're a Princess. You've got to fight." I remind her. She got to the surface and coughs, slowly paddling to the end of the pool.
I pull her out and open her mouth, using my water powers to make her spit the poisoned water out of her system. She coughs some more, grabbing onto my arm as she sat up. "Thanks." She mutters as Natsuki arrived the end of the pool.
"I was so worried, Aka." He murmurs, kissing Akane lightly on her lips. I roll my eyes, turning away at the lovey dovey sight. Jun leans in and gave me a kiss, a cheeky smile placed on his face. "Just a thank you gift." He shrugs. I remained frozen until they snap be back to reality.
"This is a wrap. Tomorrow, we'll finish the 3/3 of the course. We'll have to help the islanders to practice for now." Akane says. I agree with her, changing my clothes before walking out. I see everyone battling against each other as a practice match.
"Alright. Come gather." Natsuki and Jun loudly calls out, gesturing for them to come near to us. They all mutter some words before obeying.
"You all have done good practice. Now, all the adult males would be battling against each other. Women would battle against one another. Children regardless of gender would also battle against each other. Remember, in war, whoever turns against us is enemy. Whether male or female, children or not." I announce as they nod, taking in all of the information given to them.
"Now practice." Akane yells loud. They all thanked us and restarted the match. I noticed two women slacking off whilst having a chat. I walked towards the two and glare at them, my eyes cold and heartless.
"Everyone stop."
Everyone obeyed. I dragged the two women out into the open field where everyone could see them. I did the princess messaging thing to Akane.
Those two didn't practice. And remember what we said?
She nods subtly at me.
Yes. Weaklings aren't needed. This is war. Not some game. We ought to teach them and everyone a lesson.
I smile at her cruelty. Finally! Someone who thinks like me. "Jun." I call, gesturing for him to stand in front of the first girl. "Natsuki." Akane calls, telling him to stand of the second girl. The two girls gulps.
"How old are you?"
"We're both 20." They answer.
"Jun. What do we do to lazy people who doesn't follow orders?" I ask loudly, my eyes showing no emotion. Jun looks at the girls with no mercy. "We get rid of them, Princess Ayase." He answers without a doubt. He knows what we intend to do and he knows it's the right thing.
I nod with approval. "Good choice, guardian." I smile without emotion. Akane steps up, looking Jun with determined eyes. "And Natsuki, what do we do with girls like that?" Akane asks, tilting her head to the side.
"We don't need them. We throw them away."
"Good." Akane smiles.
We turn to look at the girls, who are slowly walking back. "Jun, show that girl how we fight against people who would be a big disadvantage to our side by not practicing." I demand. He nods, swiftly holding the girl captive in a flaring fire erosion.
"You better fight, islander." I look down at the girl, who's struggling to use her water against Jun. She was attacking him so weak. "Water wave!" She yells, a small wave of water extinguishing the fire. Jun laughs mercilessly, using nature to pull her down.
"No!" She yells, eyes squeezing shut. She uses a water beam to fight off the vines but it wouldn't work. She glares at the vine, trying to pull it off of her leg. "Darling, you've gotta work harder than that." Jun says, a smirk pulled on his lips. I like the dark Jun.
"Let go!"
I held a hand up, signaling for Jun to stop. "You see? We don't care who we're up against. If you're an enemy, you die. If you're a ally, prove it. And you'll be treated with much respect." I tell them. Jun steps back as I move forward to the girl.
I bend down and pulled the girl up. "Now islander, since Jun isn't going tough on you, I am." I coldly tell her, shooting a fire arrow. She counters it with a water shield. I send a bunch of sparrows to attack and she couldn't do anything. She was frozen in place with fear.
"I get it! I'll practice!" She surrenders. I slowly stop, looking down at her crouched position. "You better." I warn, signaling for Akane to go next on the other girl. Akane steps up, looking at the other girl with a smile.
"You are not needed if you continue to act like that, sweet."
The girl trembles, attacking Akane with a fire ball. Akane frowns as she glares at her. She uses her huuuge waterfall move to drown the girl. She was now unconcious. "Take her away. And the moment she wakes up, make her practice." Akane orders, waving the people away.
"Day one is done. Only 6 more days left."
