What should I do? Should I accept or not?

"Maybe I'll accept, and go back to who I was before, an ordinary princess." I told myself.

Finally 2 week have passed, it's time to go home and give my answer. I'll be leaving Jun a letter.

"Mom, dad, I'm back." I announced.

"Ayase, what's your decision?" mom asked.

"I won't attend, I'm sorry." I said.

"*sigh*, Ayase, are you sure? Your dad and I really need this to work out." my mom asked again.

"I'm so-" but my dad interrupted me.

"Ayase, we'll give you 3 more days to think. During that 3 days, stay in your room and think. Too much freedom isn't good." my dad, who is always considerate, told me.

Why? Do they want me to be engaged to him that badly, that they would even keep me locked in my room?

"Darling, don't be harsh, isn't it her decision in the first place?" my mom asked, gripping my dad's arm.

"If she doesn't accept, our country would soon fall. She has no other choice than to accept this engagement, and stop being a Princess in the Magic Realm." my dad protested, then left.

Then I have no choice, do I? I'll need to accept, say goodbye to Jun and the others, become a normal princess, and forget what I have been.

"I understand." I said, then went directly to my room.

I'll give a thank you and sorry letter to Jun, I have no other choice do I?

"Ayase, are you okay?" my brother, Nao, asked.

"Nao, why are they forcing me?" I asked.

"They really need this, Ayase, just try to understand them." Nao replied, patting my back.

"Your the same as them." I muttered.

"No, that's not what I mea-" but I cut him off.

"Nao, have you ever wondered why I don't smile, I don't show emotions, why I CAN'T show emotions?" I asked.

"I did wonder about it." Nao admitted.

"Until now, I can't." I told him.

"And why is that?" Nao asked.

"Get out of my room." I told him.

"Ayase." Nao called out.

"Leave, I just need to think." I sighed, as he left.

I'll accept, if I don't my parents might even hate me. I already sent my letter to Jun.

"Mom, dad, Nao." I called out after 3 days.

"Yes?" my mom asked.

"If I accept would you be pleased?" I asked.

"Yes." my parents answered.

"I'll do it." I said.

"Ayase, thank you!" my parents said, giving me a tight hug.

"The engagement would be a month from now, invite who you would want to come." my dad said.

"Can I spend that one month in the Magic Realm? You got what you want anyways, don't you realize that it's like you're selling me away for power?" I asked.

"Yes, you can stay in the Magic Realm." my mom said.

"Ayase, we're not selling you away, we just need their help." my dad told me.

"I don't see you as family anymore, so do what you want." I replied.

I hate them! I hate everyone! I don't like people forcing me, I really don't.
