Capitalization

So, Capitalization. Where to start.

Some people decide that capitalization shouldn't be used at all:

i walked over to dave and said, "do you and krissy want to play with me?" i smiled.

The word "I" is supposed to be capitalized ALL. THE. TIME. All Proper Nouns need to be capitalized ALL. THE. TIME. When you start a new sentence, it needs to be capitalized ALL. THE. TIME.


And then there are people who think that capitalization needs to be used during every other word:

"I walked Over to Dave and said, "Do You and Krissy Want to Play with Me?" I Smiled.


Now I will admit to being guilty of this, as everyone usually is. For example, everytime I wrote the word "Capitalized" in the last chapter, I have capitalized it, before deleting it and correcting myself. It's a normal thing to do with everyone. I mean, you can read my stories and count how many times I write "I Said" instead of "I said". But when it gets to the point where you feel the need to Capitalize Every Word In All Of Your Sentences, then you need to slow down and learn some punctuation skills. :)
