I am just going to say something quickly. Thank you for reading.

And this story is really sad. I cried while I wrote it. If you don't want to cry don't read this.

Enjoy(:

Liara pulled Garrus away from Her.

"Go!" Shouted his commander. He watched as she turned and ran. Ran right into the reaper blast. He saw her die and he felt his heart rip out of his chest. After letting out a strangled cry, he collapsed to the ground of the vehicle. The only noise that could be heard was Garrus crying and screaming for her. He didn't even want to think her name. He didn't want to hear it. Knowing he would never hold her, never kiss her perfect lips, and never see her again hurt so badly he could barely breathe.

He laid there for what seemed like forever. Around him, Liara and Tali were trying to comfort him but he felt so cold and weak. He couldn't live without her. So much bad had happened in his life... and then she came. She was the love of his life. His soul mate.

He was vaguely aware that someone helped him up and brought him onto the Normandy. He hated the ship now. He had so many wonderful memories with her he didn't want to be there. There was no point to his life. She was everything to him. He never thought he could care for a human this much. in fact he hadn't cared like this for anyone in a long time. Relationships were hard when you constantly trying to save the Galaxy.

"The Reapers have been destroyed. I don't know how but they are all gone." Someone said behind him. He had a spark of hope that maybe his girl was alive. Then he realized he had watched her die. Watched her get hit and crushed by the concrete slabs.

He decided he wanted to be alone. He went to the only place in the whole Normandy where he felt at home.

Her cabin.

When the door opened it filled him with so much pain he almost collapsed onto the floor. He staggered over to the bed and flopped onto it. The bed still smelled like her clean smell. He could never place what it reminded him of but he loved it. He cuddled a pillow up to his face and he laid there for hours just breathing in her scent. He tried not to think or do anything. He knew he was being very dramatic but he had the right to be. He suddenly realized he had never felt this way about anyone. She was his first love. He had thought so many times about how he was going to ask her to marry him. Now none of that would happen. Dying was a part of the job. He knew that and what the risks were when he started falling for her but he couldn't stop himself. He was so nervous she wouldn't like him. She was his commander. His captain. Why would she ever fall for an old C-Sec officer.

A while later Tali knocked on the door. Garrus didn't say anything so she just walked in.

"Garrus? We have her plaque we need to put up and the crew agrees you should do the honors..."
He opened his mouth to say something but his throat was so dry he couldn't make a sound. Instead he silently followed Tali out to the crew. He knew he was a mess. He had been crying for hours. Liara handed him the thin strip of metal and Garrus couldn't look at it. Not yet. They all walked downstairs in silence. Everyone had lost a best friend. Garrus noticed Jokers eyes were puffy and red from crying. He had completely forgot that EDI was destroyed as well. That was hard for him.

Finally, everyone gathered in a half circle around the wall. Garrus looked down at the piece of metal holding the name of his commander.. his friend... and most of all... his girl. Seeing her name was just a reminder of her death. He brushed his hand along the plaque and hung it on the wall above Anderson's. He turned around and walked past the crew silently.

Wanting to go back to her cabin so he would be ignored, he slowly walked. He turned on some music to hopefully drown out his thoughts. He noticed her private terminal had a new message. He decided to open it and it was a video... of... her.

"Garrus... if you are watching this video its because I'm.. dead.. please don't be sad. We will meet again." She talked about how much she loved him and how he made her life better. Tears of joy slowly started slipping down his face. She expressed every emotion she felt for him and she told him a few stories. Most of them were the moments they had together. The first time he came to see her in her cabin, shooting at the citadel when he asked her to be his, and when they danced. He wished the video would keep playing but he could feel the end was near because she talked about the Normandy.

"Garrus I know you love the Normandy and its crew. You are my most trusted friend. So its only right that I give you the Normandy."

Garrus gasped softly. He couldn't run the Normandy. He didn't think he was able.

"I know you're going to think you can't but I'm giving you it because I know you can. I love you Garrus Vakarian. Or I should say Commander Vakarian." She saluted him.

"This is Commander Shepard signing off for the last time." Her voice turned softer as she said, "Remember me Garrus."

"I will Shepard.."
