My Hidden Feelings

Chapter 1*

The class of 2013 had just thrown up their caps and now were being congratulated by their loved ones. Amerria's parents were telling her how proud they were of her then she spotted her two best friends, Jazlyn and Cayden, talking to some fellow graduates. She walked over to them and Jazlyn gave her a look so that she would tell Cayden. Amerria had deep feelings for Cayden but was scared to tell him because she thought he wouldn't feel the same way. As Amerria ignored Jazlyn's stares Jazlyn leaned over a whispered into Cayden's ear,

"Cay, Amerria has something to tell you." Cayden felt that it was strange that Jazlyn had to say that but he brushed it off. He walked up behind Amerria and put his arms around her scaring the shit out of her because she jumped. He didn't feel strange about putting his arms around Amerria because he always did it. Plus they were only friends and everyone knew it.

"What's up Cayden??" Amerria said not knowing that Jazlyn had told him.

"Nothing but Jazlyn said you had something to tell me." Cayden said looking at the shock in Amerria's eyes. Amerria had no choice but to tell him now. She took a deep breath and started talking,

"Um, Cayden you know how we've been best friends since 4th grade. Over the years I've fallen in love with you and I have been scared to tell you since forever. Sometimes I love you more than myself and I cant imagine life without you. Basically I'm saying I'm in love with you Cayden Malek Smith." Cayden looked at her with sadness in his eyes because he didn't feel the same way she did. Amerria was his little sister and he couldn't imagine her as more.

"I'm sorry Merria but I feel like you are my little sister and liking my little sister would be nasty. I don't have the same feelings as you do." Amerria stared into Cayden's eyes trying to make him change his mind. Cayden looked at her feeling sorry and walked away.

Amerria never thought a broken heart could hurt this bad. She stood there by herself with tears pouring from her eyes. When Cayden made it back to his friends, including Jazlyn, he acted as if nothing had happened. Jazlyn knew something wasnt right because Amerria hadn't came back. She excused herself from the group and went to find Amerria. She looked at the field that they had just graduated on and noticed her best friend standing in the middle of the field looking like she was lost in space. She knew whatever Cayden had said broke Amerria's heart. Jazlyn walked up to Amerria and wrapped her arms around her pulling her into a tight hug. Amerria cried on Jazlyn's sholder for what felt like forever. After it seemed like she had gotten all of her tears out Jazlyn and Amerria walked silently to Jazlyn's car.

Inside the car Amerria looked out of the window at her now old high school. She looked at the very spot her, Jazlyn, and Cayden at lunch everyday. She looked at the football field and remembered the times where her and Jazlyn cheered Cayden on so many times. She knew that her and Cayden would never be close again. Jazlyn knew that Amerria would never be the same again. Amerria was about to morph into a baddie that wouldn't be so innocent and nieve. She was about to become new and improved but no one knew it yet. Not Cayden, Not Jazlyn, and Amerria doesn't know either. The new Amerria would be one that you don't fuck with and one that name rung bells. Most importantly her heart wouldn't be broken again.
