A gentle sunset.
The quiet wind.
The wall clock ticks.
This day will end.
There's a poem I wrote
about you, dear.
One that made it very clear.
I'd trade you my heart for all of your fear.
I'll help it all disappear.
That promise still holds true.
Knowing that I still love you.
Why don't we count the stars again.
I've been trying so hard since then,
But they can never add up to fill the void within my heart.
Can we make believe that we never fell apart?
My best friend, now no one to see.
Silence has been the worst to me.
I'm losing my heart as I speak.
It's withering away from the deepest sadness I have to keep.
These pills are helping put me to sleep.
Trying to find my happiness six feet deep.
Helping cope with the weight compressed on my mind.
Since you were my everything I still can't find.
Now I'm just a mental disaster with a timer on zero.
A story with a short ending and no hero.
A bomb to defuse with no wire to cut.
A puzzle with no solutions, simply put.
