My Wilting Flower

I'm caught in the crossfire of conflict and resolution.
As your sympathy is all an illusion.
Intimidating me with the fear you've provoked.
Afraid to speak any words,
I'll choke.
Dancing on the stage for the audience to see.
You're believing the stories they've made up about me.
Im the evil attacking your castle with the princess inside.
And you're the one needing saved from a prince too far behind.
They will all celebrate in relentless force.
As the monster drops dead, of course.
The curtains drop.
The blood drips stop.
That so-called monster is beheaded, so you can go home.
Yet, you're too afraid to leave here alone.
When you've betrayed your only way out.
Leaving my head all filled with doubt.
Losing our minds.
You're starting to breakdown.
I can't take this anymore.
They might find out!
Then where will we be?
Two liars in a pile of guilt tossed out to the sea.
Destined to drown for eternity.
Weights cuffed to our ankles and shackled to our wrists.
One misplaced step after another until both of us missed.
Tripped down the stairwell and broke our necks.
Then what happens next?
The future looks grim as my heart turns cold.
Looks like this story is getting old.
I'm tired.
I'm lost.
I heard you, you've spoken.
And now you know I'm broken.
So, please take this second.
Remind me why I'm here.
Why I'm in love with a stranger who will disappear.
She loves me.
She loves me not.
She loves me.
She loves me not.
