The next day, I was packing. I was ready to go home.. Stop lying to yourself, no you aren't. You aren't ready to face Gray, or Vanessa. I want to see Jennifer, and my niece. I can't help but imagine how mad my brother will be when I pop out of nowhere. I haven't talked to him at all. The first thing I did was send him a letter telling him I will be fine when I first moved here.
I can see Vanessa, and Gray. My old friends..
I kept thinking of a plan of how this would go, until I heard a knock. I ended up founding out Vanessa and Gray were acting strange because they were sleeping with each other. It was one of the reasons I left. He felt guilty and that's why he hit me. He told me a few hours after I had Dalton. That's when we agreed it was better off if he wasn't here, at least for now.
                        "Uh.. Come in!" I holler.
There was a sound of the door opening and closing.
  "Chris?"  It was Connor.
"In here", I say opening my bedroom door more with the tips of my fingers.
"Hey."
I glance at him, managing to smile, "Hi."
     "Are you almost ready?"
I nod, "Almost. I just need Dalton."
 "Where is he?"
"Cassie's on her way to drop him off."
         "What's her story anyways?"
I lick my lips, my left hand on my hip, my other on my suitcase, my body towards him, "She's been my best friend since second grade. She has an older sister and a brother. The only problem in her life was me being annoying."
"Oh, thats cool."
        Then there was another knock.
"Ill get it", Connor rushes to the door.
I hide a smile. There was talking and then footsteps running down the hall.
"Look! Look! Look! Look!" Dalton rushed in, wearing a pirate hat.
I giggle, sitting down on my knees. I pulled down my pink hoodie to hide my butt. Not that I wasn't wearing any pants, I was wearing jeans, but I caught Connor staring at dinner last night.
I stand up, looking down the hall, "Thanks Cassie!"
I wave, smiling.
              She smiles back, "Anytime Chris!"
Connor shut the door after Cassie left.
"Did you have fun with Aunt Cassie?" I ask, doing finishing touches.
                "Yea."
   "That's good."
"Where are we going?" Dalton struggled to climb on my bed.
"We are going to go see some family", I tap his nose.
Dalton looked down, I felt bad. He never met anyone. No one at all, except for Cassie. She's the closest thing I got in Seattle.
"It'll be fun", Connor nods, ruffling Dalton's hair.
       Dalton lets out a laugh.
"Okay...Done", I zip up the finally suitcase.
Connor smiles at me, his eyes sparkling, "Then lets go."
I nodded twice, pulling the two zebra suitcases off my messy bed.
"I got it", Connor pulls the suitcases from my hands.
"Thanks", I sigh picking up Dalton.

We hurried to the airport. The flight would take six hours. Not bad, actually.
The skies were beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. When we arrived, I walk straightly, my back not slouched or anything, chest outwards. "Push your boobs out, Christina. Walk like a queen", my grandma always said.
       "Ready?" Courtney stood by me.
I nod.
"Ready as I'll ever be", I say breathlessly.
"Don't worry, no one knows you're here", Hope whispers in my ear.
"My boyfriend got us all a hotel", Courtney says, smiling at Connor.
We got into two separate taxis, all going to the grand hotel, smack dab in the middle of Miami, Florida.
We went up to our rooms, the middle floor.
"Come one Dalton", I say finding our room number.
            "Can I do it?"
I sigh, handing him the room key.
He unlocks the door and pushes it open, then jumps onto the bed.
I put our stuff down. Hope was right next door, Courtney and Connor a few doors down.
"Stay here", I tell Dalton, walking out and shutting the door.
Hope, Connor, and Courtney all walk out.
"I'm going to take a nap-" I started to say.
"No, you're going to go see your friends and family."
I shook my head, "Maybe tomorrow."
"I didn't agree to bring you here for nothing, Chris", Connor raises his eyebrows.
