*A Month Later*

I was able to accept the nightmare, with Calum's help.

For a few nights after that nightmare, a few more would follow. There was one of me at Calum's funeral, along with a small memorial for our little girl, one of Stefan crying at night because he missed Calum, and Stefan growing up into a teenager with problems, problems that I couldn't help him with, because of the affect of growing up with only one father.

It horrified me. Luckily, Calum was there every time I woke up. He would comfort me. He would hug me and hold me and that everything I thought was real...was just a dream.

It really did help me a lot, and after five days, they left me. I was able to move on.

Now I was sitting on the floor with my legs crossed, hutched over our coffee table with my laptop and my English textbook opened up. I was writing my English essay, while watching Stefan and Niko.

Niko was over because Aaron had a convention to go to for his restaurant, for the weekend. For times before that, he would drop Niko off at Niall's house, because Niall already had a German Shepard and woudn't be too much trouble for caring for too. But Niall and Aaron agreed that they had to be seperated because they both got a little too friendly.

After those different incidents, Aaron told us that he was dropping Niko off for the weekend, which none of us minded.

Niko missed Calum, and continued to be protective of our next baby. Calum missed playing with Niko and still played with him, not letting his tireness or baby bump get in the way. I loved having Niko around because he brought more life and fun into the apartment. Stefan loved playing with Niko every time he stayed at Aaron's house. So it worked out for all of us

Calum was done with his homework and decided to take a nap since our daughter was taking up a lot of his energy. He didn't want me watching Stefan all the time, because I already was watching him all the time, but he didn't fight, since he fell on our bed and instantly went to sleep.

I glanced over at Stefan, who was sitting in his high chair, by the kitchen island. He was eating the cookies and milk Aaron had brought over before he left for his convention, as a thank you for watching Niko.

I finished the conclusion paragraph of my English essay, finally. I sighed in relief, shutting my textbook and turning off my laptop. I stood up, only to be tackled by Niko. I quickly fell back on the ground as Niko climbed on top of me, starting to lick my face. I grunted, as Niko happily barked and continued to show his affection for me.

"I know you miss playing with me Niko, but it has to wait. Just for a little bit," I told him.

I walked over to Stefan's chair, seeing that he finished his milk and cookies and now tried to push himself out of his high chair.

"Niko," he told me, "pway Niko."

"Of course Stef. You've been a good boy, and you even finished your snack," I told him, picking him up and setting him on the floor.

Stefan happily squealed and started to run, as fast as he could, after Niko, who was panting and jumping around Stefan. Stefan giggled before he around Niko while Niko chased him around.
