Here's the first update for I Can't Lose Him! I hope you guys enjoy this first part, because this is the start of a longgg journey we are going on together. (:

I clipped the black suspenders to the hem of my black dress pants, securely tightening it so it wouldn't easily slide off of my body. Seeing my suspenders matched perfectly with my white dress shirt, I quickly ran my hands through my raven black hair, which was smoothly styled into a quiff.

Satisfied, I grabbed the few pieces of note cards that sat in my pocket and quickly started to read through them.

These few note cards were important for today. Today, I would tell Luke how much he meant to me. I could've spent days and days writing how much Luke really did mean to me, but I wanted to keep this short and sweet. I wanted Luke to know, but not know too much, because we would have the rest of our lives for that.

I looked in the mirror one last time, smiling as I looked at my appearance.

"You're actually doing it Cal. You're actually getting married. You're getting married to the guy you've loved longest. You're actually doing this. I'm actually doing this. You can do this," I told myself.

After months of planning, this was actually happening.

Gripping my note cards, I slid them into my pocket and turned the knob of the door and walked out of the room into the bright hallway. I walked down the hallway into the nealy done decorations of the beach house Lillie had decorated with help from a few of her friends from the university she went to.

Once I walked in, I saw my dad, in a neatly ironed suit with a red, striped tie. He was holding Stefan, who was wearing a black suit and sky blue tie.

Niko was sitting on the ground next to them. He was wearing a red bow tie on his collar, along with two small black boxes attached to his collar. He stood up and tried to lick Stefan, but Stefan laughed and refused, and tried to move away.

I learned that Niko was just being overprotective of Stefan. He was protective of Stefan when I was pregnant with him and it must have carried over when Stefan actually wasn't inside me anymore, but out in the world. It seemed to make Niko happy because he'd jump all over Stefan when Niko saw him.

Stefan then looked at me from Niko and widely smiled towards me.

"Daddy!" He shouted.

He slid out of my dad's grip and onto the ground, falling on his hands and knees. Slowly, he climbed up onto his feet and took his steps towards me. I smiled and held my arms out towards him. He walk into my arms, and I proceeded to hold him in a tight hug. I stood up and kissed his cheek as he giggled.

"Aren't you a handsome little man today," I laughed, kissing his cheek.

He smiled and nodded.

"Ham-some!" He shrieked.

I laughed.

"Hamsome," I agreed.

I then saw my dad, who stood up, and smiled. I smiled with, and walked over to him. He pulled me into a tight hug as I did the same.

"Congrats Cal. I'm so happy for you. I've been waiting for this day since your mother left," he whispered.

"Really?" I whispered, "You know dad, before I told her she was gay, she was so sweet. I imagined her being here, with us."
