"Now, that over there is Ponyboy Curtis." Izzy, my best friend explained
It was a hot summer day in Tulsa, and my best friend Izzy and I were in the park sitting in the tree.
She was telling me about the boys, ranging from the ages 14-20, which were playing football at the time.
"They're cuties, aren't they?" Izzy asked. I've shoulda seen it coming, she's absolutely boy crazy!
"Ugh, Izzy. Do you have to like EVERY SINGLE BOY YOU SEE?!?" I laughed, but it was true. I wasn't as boy crazy as she was. Heck, I don't think I've ever had a crush before!
"Yesssss, I mean, especially them! They're so cute!" Izzy blushed
I saw one of them coming our way. I think it was the Dallas kid. He was 2 years older than I was, and 1 year older than Izzy.
"Hey, get off my tree." He said, rudely. I looked over at Izzy, who was blushing. I rolled my eyes, it was annoying, who could like that?!? He seemed rude.
I got off of the tree and said, "Why should I? So you can have a cancer stick?!?" I replied
"Listen kid, I don't think you wanna mess with me." He said
"Huh, I don't think you wanna mess with me!" I said, stomping one foot.
One of the other kids, I think it was Ponyboy, came up to him.
"Dal, you ain't supposed to hit girls." He said. Damn, he was cute.
"Don't worry, I can handle a kid like this."' I said, smirking.
"Uh...I-I don't think you understand." Ponyboy said.
"Sure I do!" I smiled and it Dallas right where it hurt him.
"You really wanna play like that, kid?" He asked, I could tell he was mad.
"Let's dance." I said
I kicked, punched, and flipped him over in less than 3 seconds.
"You win this time, kid." Dallas said, and walked off.
I laughed. "Sorry 'bout that." Ponyboy said, while putting his hands in his pocket.
"It's cool. I'm Y/N!" I said
"My name's Ponyboy, Ponyboy Curtis." He smiled.
God, he was cute.
