[UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION] The First Dream (Book One)

Chapter 13

"Uhhh," The small cat groans as it rolls over "H-hello?"

'Um, hi. I'm Swiftfeather and I'm very sorry I disrupted your sleep." Swiftfeather whispered to the cat

'W-what's your name?" The skinny brown cat asked as if she didn't hear the first time.

"Swiftfeather." Swiftfeather repeats as the cat sits up

"From where?" The cat asks, more aware this time

"One of the clans: WindClan." She replies

"My name is Twigpaw!" Twigpaw meows happily

"TWIGPAW!" Swiftfeather yells, tears filling her eyes "Why are you here? Did you follow me all the way here?" As her voice turns from happy to a little aggravated.

"I-I..." Twigpaw stuttered " I don't want to tell you."

"Please, Twigpaw." Swiftfeather coaxed "It's okay. I'm not mad. I really just want to know how you followed me all this way in the middle of a raging storm.

"Well, I asked Cloudpaw if he knew about your journey." Twigpaw meows as she sits down "He said yes and promised to help me track you down. It was hard but we tracked you to the border. I told Cloudpaw to stay but he didn't listen. We walked all the to the Fourtrees and then he finally listened and went home. I followed your disintegrating trail all the way here. I saw you fall into the water and I kind of freaked. I then walked back a bit and rested here. I was so shocked I couldn't try and save you. I'm sorry" Twigpaw stops then looks Swiftfeather right in her deep blue eyes "But I really just want to know why you're going to Highstones."

"It's okay. I'm alive now. Let me tell you the story of how I got here. It all started with a dream the night before Rabbitpaw, Cloudpaw and Mintpaw became apprentices." Swiftfeather starts. She then explains her complicated story while all Twigpaw does is nod. After more nodding and more explaining Twigpaw finally meows, "I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry." Swiftfeather meows with guilt flooding her meow "I should be sorry." The cats share tongues for a while then hunt for some prey. After a belly-filling meal Swiftfeather and Twigpaw sleep through the night and decide to travel when they wake.
