Swiftfeather plops down onto the ground next to Fogstar.

"Nightstep told me that Rabbitpaw will be one of our best warriors. Her battle moves are almost perfect."

"I always knew that nimble thing was special." Swiftfeather meows with a smile, but the smile finds a way to go away "I'm just disappointed that she and Cloudpaw won't become warriors at the same time."

"I was thinking the same thing." Fogstar moews "But don't worry because I don't think she cares. She wants to become the best warrior as soon as possible. Anyway Cloudpaw will probably become warrior with Twigpaw."

"You're right. They were apprenticed a moon apart but Cloudpaw lost a moon's worth of training thanks to that freak accident." Swiftfeather meows as her worries about her son go away

"I have a feeling they will be perfect m-" Fogstar starts to meow but is interrupted by a shriek from the nursery.

"WHISPERCLOUD!" Sunflame meows, then runs to the nursery, leaving his half eaten bird behind. Stripetail runs right after Sunflame and disappear into the nursery. Fogstar and Swiftfeather glance towards the nursery.

"Her kits can't be this early, can they?" Fogstar meows staring at the nursery opening "This isn't good, is it?"

"I don't know." Swiftfeather meows as her sky-like eyes are overtaken by worriedness "I hope not and if they are I pray to StarClan that they'll be alright." Another ear-splitting shriek interrupts Fogstar and Swiftfeather's conversation

"Twigpaw!" Sunflame meows from the opening of the nursery with tears running down his face " Go find Mintpaw! She's collecting herbs. THE KITS ARE COMING!"
