Laura struggles getting her luggage out of the car, so does Tyonnia.

Laura wasn't up for going to college.

All her life people has told her college was the key to success.

She didn't want to believe that.

She wanted to prove to everyone that she can become an important somebody even though she skipped college.

That had been her goal since freshmen year in high school.

But things changed the day she had walked into her Algebra One part one class and took an empty seat beside Tyonnia.

"Hi, I'm Laura." Laura introduced herself.

She didn't want to be a stranger and be known as the unknown.

She didn't know what she expected Tyonnia to be like.

Whenever Tyonnia had held out her hand and shook it and introduced herself, Laura felt completely out placed.

She guess she assumed Tyonnia to be mean or stuck up or someone what a bully.

But she wasn't.

Over the next four years they became close friends, best friends.

They always bonded over movies and unhealthy snacks, late night parties with older teenagers.

That's what they're High school experienced mainly consisted of.

Tyonnia appeared out of nowhere and started helping Laura with her luggage.

Laura stopped.

"When did you get here?" She asked shocked.

"I got here early this morning, super early. I texted you a thousand times. You never replied." Tyonnia said.

"Really?" Laura asked checking her phone.

Tyonnia nodded.

"But don't worry I already have our dorm room numbers."

"Did we get one together?" Laura asked.

Tyonnia wrinkled her nose a little.

"No. I tried talking the campus counselor into switching us into a room together but they wouldn't budge. Not even for fifty free bucks!" Tyonnia said with her face in shock.

"You cannot buy your way into or out of everything." Laura laughed at her best friend attempt into gambling the counselors.

"It was worth a try." Tyonnia shrugged her shoulders.

"What dorm is she in?" Laura brother came around the car with his arms and back loaded with luggage.

"234." Tyonnia gave off a genie smile.

"Thank you sweetheart." Laura brother said to Tyonnia as he walked off in the direction of the dorm rooms.

The dorms weren't all together, not all of them anyways.

Somewhere spreaded out around the campus like houses. Each house contained two college students at least.

Tyonnia had already checked. Her and Laura both had like a house complex even though they wouldn't be sharing the same one.

"Come on, let's go with him." Laura said dragging her heavy bags in the direction her brother had walked off in.

Tyonnia followed also helping.

When Tyonnia opened the doors and Laura looked inside Laura face lightened up with happiness.

"This is my drom?!" Laura squeals.

"Whoa! Don't get to happy. You have a roommate. I just don't know who they are. The person at the front desk giving out keys wouldn't even tell me my own roommate." Tyonnia rolled her eyes as if the woman at the front desk was really that annoying.

Laura later on found out she was.

"When will everyone else show up? Classes start in a few days." Laura asked throwing her bags on one of the two beds in the room.

"Tomorrow. She told me that much." Tyonnia answered.

"I cannot wait!" Laura squealed again.

"Well I'm done. I only had to come to help you lift things. Can you take it from here?" Laura brother asked.

"Why are you in such a rush?" Tyonnia asked him.

Tyonnia always loved picking at Laura's brother. It had been that way every since Laura introduced them to each other. The night Tyonnia came to spend the night with her.

"Unlike you two freshmen, I have actual classes to take. Classes that started already." Laura brother rolled his eyes.

Tyonnia rolled her eyes at him for rolling his eyes.

Laura snickered under her breath.

"You can go. Thank you. Tell mom and dad I said thank you for the new things they got me." Laura answered.

Laura brother gave her a quick hug. "I will."

He started to walk out of the house complex before he stopped and turned around, looking at both Laura and Tyonnia.

"You both annoy me to death, I would love to see both of you tied to a train going a hundred miles an hour. But both of you be safe. Just because this is a college campus doesn't mean it's safe. Watch who you hang around and watch what you say and do. People are sneaky and not everyone is going to be your friend even if they say they are. I've lived on campus before and I know all of this from experience. Stick together. I love you both, be smart about what you do up here alright?" Laura brother asked.

Tyonnia and Laura slowly looked at one another.

What had gotten into him?!

He would usually leave without another word.

He would usually throw things at them and call them little brats or Hannah Montana act alikes.

"Are you okay?" Laura asked.

"I'm fine. It's just going to be weird being at home and not hearing you two upstairs giggling about stupid internet gossip." Laura brother smirk grew on his face.

Tyonnia rolled her eyes with a smile.

"We promise to be safe, for your sake and mainly our owns. We are smart, you know." Tyonnia promised him.

"What she said." Laura said nodding and pointing at Tyonnia.

"Okay, see you two later." Laura brother left with a wave.

"Do you want me to help you set up your room, then we work on mine?" Laura asked Tyonnia.

"Sure." Tyonnia answered.

Laura grabbed her gloves and cleaning supplies.

She plan on cleaning Tyonnia and her both room till its shiny.

She hates dirty places.
