Laura had come home for a visit to check on her brother. Louis, Chance, and Tyonnia demanded to tag along.

"You're getting better." Laura said complimenting her brother as he laid in bed, still in pain weeks later.

"Yeah, try saying that without that scary look on her face." He said groaning out in pain as he moved to get comfortable.

"I'm not wearing a scary face Caleb. I'm serious. You're getting better. You even look better. You're taking less medication." Laura stated, pointing out the facts.

"Weeks ago I wasn't expected to live and you left. I've never left you." Laura brother said looking her dead in the eye.

"Okay what's this about? This grumpy not positive attitude. Where is it coming from? Mom? Dad? Who?" Laura asked.

"Why does it have to come from mom and dad? Why not you?" Caleb asked.

Laura opened her mouth to speak but decided against it.

"You left me when I was expected to die. The lowest point in my life, andnyou just left." Caleb spoke up.

"Mom and dad were there." Laura said.

"Mom and dad. Mom and dad?! Mom and dad were there! That's all you can come up with? All you can say? We are suppose to be brother and sister. DAMN BROTHER AND SISTER! I can't bond with mom and dad. Mom and dad don't know me like you're suppose to know me. Do you know how much fucking pain they've put me through ever since I left that damn hospital bed?! And you know what? The most fucked up problem is, I couldn't tell them. I couldn't tell them how much pain they themselves were putting me through. I couldn't tell my own parents because they looked at me as fragile, one mishap and they're son was dead. But you. My suppose to be sister. Oh I can tell you whatever. But where you there? No."

Caleb had went on asking the questions but also answering them four seconds later.

"Mom made me go back to college. She said I couldn't miss any days. Not in college." Laura told the truth.

"If you. You my baby sister got into a wreck that was going to claim your life, kill you! Do you think I would have went anywhere? Anywhere, Laura?" There was a tear falling from Caleb's eye and Laura lost all control of her emotions and broke into tears.

She was on the floor in a matter of seconds weeping in a puddle of her own tears.

Caleb said nothing.

It was like that for moments.

The air was open.

Words could be said, open for suggestions.

The air waiting to be filled with words.

Any words.

Caleb face tightened.

"I think you should go."

Caleb said loudly over his sister cry's.

She crawled to her feet.

"Leaving is never what I did. Never. I gave you space. Something you obviously needs."

And she turned and left.

That wasn't her brother.

Not the one she knew before anyways.
