Laura sat in the front seat nearly aching to stretch her legs.

"Can we stop at a gas station or something?" She asked almost pleading.

Louis took one look at her and nodded his head. "There is one like four miles ahead. You have to take an exit though." Chance instructed Louis from the back seat.

"Thanks bro." Louis said looking in the review mirror at Chance.

Tyonnia was stone cold asleep.

She fell asleep laying on Chance's lap almost an hour ago and hasn't waken once.

"You've never took long car drives before?" Louis asked Laura.

"I have but there were usual casual stops along the way." Laura explained.

"Mhm." Louis said focusing on the road.

"Whenever we get there I have to go shopping with Tyonnia. I promised her I would. The bets I make with this girl are ridiculous." Chance said smiling while shaking his head at the same time.

Laura turned around almost immediately.

"I'M TYONNIAS SHOPPING PARTNER NOT YOU!" She yelled holding her chest.

Had her best friend replaced her with Chance?

Louis grabbed Laura thigh.

"Clam down it's just shopping, Laura. You act like its a Superbowl game." Chance giggled.

"Can we go with y'all?" Louis asked Chance.

"Where to?" Chance asked.

"Chance, shopping." Louis reminded him.

"Oh yeah. Tyonnia's only using me to carry her bags around anyways. She's already told me that so I wouldn't be surprised." He air quoted the word surprise and Laura laughed.

Tyonnia used guys to carry her shopping bags all the time.

She used to find one special guy in the food court and would flirt with him until he agreed to carry both of they're bags for them, everytime they went to the mall together.

"Am I going to be carry your bags?" Louis asked Laura.

"I don't know if you want too. I can usually manage my own things." Laura lied. She never carried more than three bags in her hand before Tyonnia had some stranger carry they're bags for them.

"I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself." Louis licked his bottom lip and glanced in Laura's direction quickly before going back to the road.

Laura heart starting beating fast.

She never gave herself time to think about what could she possible do about her and Louis.

They weren't dating.

They weren't sleeping together.

They are friends.

Friends with no flirting limits.

But Louis seemed to know his own limits.

He wouldn't flirt to much, only enough to give Laura butterflies for a few hours and then he stopped there.

He always did that.

Every since that movie night she had with him a few weeks ago.

Louis pulled into a gas station and parked beside a gas pump.

"Do any of you want anything?" Louis asked all three of them.

Well two of them, Laura and Chance.

Tyonnia was still happily asleep.

Chance slowly laid Tyonnia head on a pillow, to replace his leg that had recently be laying on.

"Chips and a drink." Chance said pulling his wallet out before Louis stopped him.

"Chill this whole trip is on me." Louis reminded him.

Men usually didn't like other men buying for them.

But Chance accepted this time.

"The same as him." Laura said climbing out of the car.

Louis nodded and headed inside.

Chance and Laura both leaned against the car and walking around every every second to stretch they're legs.

"Should I wake her? You know so she can get out of the car a little. We still have about maybe three hours left till we even reach the beach anyways." Chance said asking Laura.

"She usually sleeps through car rides. She'll be fine." Laura assured him.

Laura looked at Chance.

"You know I see the way you look at her. You're falling for her aren't you?" Laura asked him.

Her tone was serious.

Chance gave a sigh and looked Laura dead in the eye.

"I've already fallen." Chance answered.

"Why don't you two make it official? It's not obvious to most people that you two love up on each other in private but to me it is. That and that Tyonnia usually tells me everything." Laura said standing in front of Chance now.

"Why don't you and Louis make it official? I mean it's not obvious or anything that you two love up on each other in private." Chance said mocking Laura's words.

She laughed.

"Well listen Chance, that innocent, happy soul in the backseat of this car is my best friend, my pride and joy, my only ride or die. If you hurt her I'll have to hurt you in all ways possible. Understood?" Laura asked him.

"Understood." Chance smiled and nodded.

Laura saw Louis walk up to the counter inside the store.

"We should probably get back in. He's about to come out." Laura told Chance.

Laura opened the passenger side door about to get back inside before Chance stopped her.

"I really meant what I said Laura. I wasn't mocking you. Why don't you and Louis make it official? The way he looks at you is the same way I look at Tyonnia everyday. He's falling for you and I don't think he knows how to tell you. Males feels are different from females. Ours aren't clear, they're dazed and confused all the time. He really likes you." Chance said before ducking back into the car just as Louis came walking out of the store.

Laura got in.

Louis put the bag inside the car and pumped some gas.

In less than five minutes they were back on the rode.

"I got Tyonnia a energy drink and a pack of oeros just in case she wakes up." Louis said looking at Chance in the review mirror.

"Thanks."

"Welcome."

"Take a left at the next light." Chance instructed from the back seat.

Laura starred out the window at the clouds, trees, and cars all going by in a blur. She wish she was fast enough to go by like a blur.

Blurs were fast.

Fast about everything.
