"LAURA! LAURA! LAURA WAKE UP! PLEASE OH GOD YOU GOT TO WAKE UP!" Laura woke up with Tyonnia shaking her and crying at the same time.
"What is it?!" Laura shouted sitting up in bed.
Louis who was laying beside her moments earlier had woken up with worried eyes.
Laura looked to Tyonnia who was in tears.
"Caleb's been in a wreck and they're airlifting him! I think he's hurt. I think he's hurt pretty bad!" Tyonnia cried.
Last night after that huge fuss she had with brother, Laura had climbed out the car moments after
Tyonnia did and headed back into the hotel.
Laura stopped.
She felt like the world had stopped.
Caleb was everything to her.
He was the one that has always been there.
He would always be there whenever needed. Through heartache, sorrow, even happiness.
If anything was to happen to Caleb she wouldn't be able to live with herself.
The last words she had said to him were harsh.
"Words are weapons."
Laura was thinking of the first time she had gotten bullied. "Words are weapons."
That's what Caleb had told her.
Laura felt her face become wet.
She was crying.
"Laura we have to go. Laura, Laura come on."
Laura blinked her eyes a few times.
Louis was trying to get her to stand up.
"I have to see my brother." Laura said jumping up and grabbing her shoes.
"I'll drive you." Louis said putting on his coat.
When they reached Louis car down in the parking lot, Tyonnia and Chance were already in the car waiting.
The car ride to the hospital was quite.
It was this feeling of death in the air.
None of them knew how bad it was.
Tyonnia phone broke the silence.
She answered with a weak voice.
"Hello?" Tyonnia answered.
"Is he okay?" Tyonnia asked.
Laura turned to look at Tyonnia in the backseat.
"Yes ma'am." Tyonnia continued on the phone.
Tyonnia looked at Laura and a flood of quite tears fell from her eyes.
"We are on our way." Tyonnia said.
Moments later she hung up the phone.
"Your mom didn't want to talk to you right now. She's really upset and overwhelmed." Tyonnia told Laura.
"What about Caleb?" Laura asked.
"She said...She said he was in an emergency surgery right now."
Tyonnia whipped her face with a napkin Chance had handed her.
Laura turned around in the passenger seat.
Louis grabbed Laura's knee and squeezed it.
Laura looked at him.
