Third Person
"Konimi-neesan, come sleep in my rooom!" A certain brunette bounced hopefully, clutching her teddy bear.
Konimi Cosette, coming out of the kitchen, hid a smile.
This girl... she's adorable... the blonde thought. It must be okay to show even a little care for her. She'll never leave me anyway.
But...
"Pleeeaaaseee?"
Cosette bit her lip. "Ah, n-no, I..." her voice trailed off.
I don't want her to know I was having nightmares. I don't want a repeat. I don't want to have to worry her and think I wasn't strong enough.
Haru's face fell.
"Sorry, Haru... I'm not used to sharing rooms..."
"Oh, Haru-chan," came a familliar lighthearted chuckle behind the blonde. "You can't pester her so much, she needs space."
"But, oniichan--"
"It's getting late, you know? You should go to bed."
"Oh, alright, alright..." Haru sighed, dragging herself upstairs. "Moom, I'm going to bed!"
"Alright, honey, sweet dreams!" Their mother called back from the kitchen.
Cosette turned around, nodding gratefully at Yaku.
The boy shrugged. "No big deal. I figured you wanted alone time."
Ah...
She turned away, remembering their short conversation by the terrace of the mall. She still wasn't very sure whether or not she should have told him that... she had let her guard down, and it kind of slipped out before she could stop herself.
But, maybe it was alright... it was just that, anyway. He's the first one who's cared for me, even if I push him away continuously.
"I'll go to my room," she said quietly, after a short silence.
"Alright, I'll stay here for a bit to help my mother." he paused. "Um, Konimi-san?"
"Yeah?"
"Sweet dreams, okay? If you ever need anythi---"
"Thank you, Yaku-san," she cut him off, heading for the stairs. "Have a good sleep as well."
But just why does he care so much?

"Have fun, you two! Tell the boys I said hi, alright, Mori-kun?" Mitsuka-san smiled at the two as they stepped out the door.
Yaku nodded, smiling. "Bye!"
Cosette waved a little as the door closed.
Though she had only spent two days with them so far, she knew she was already warming up to them.
She still knew that she was risking another part of her heart by doing so, but it was hard not to, especially with Haru.
A soft breeze blew, and she attempted to discreetly rub her hands together for warmth.
Since it was so early in the morning, it was still quite cold, even if it was already spring.
Ah, that's right... my birthday is in a couple more weeks... I'll be turning seventeen... the half-Japanese thought silently to herself, then rapidly shook her head.
