Third Person
"Tell Yaku-san, alright? Or anyone..."
Cosette supressed a smile as she stood outside the gym door, remembering how oddly sweet Kenma had been the other day.
She made a promise, and she was going to fulfull it.
Heck, opening up is hard... but I trust him.
It was a dangerous thing to trust and to care, but... she's taken a lot of risks already. She's come this far, she can't back out.
Maybe it's worth the risk this time.
Taking a deep breath, she slid open the gym door, but unfortunately, it was the wrong timing.
"Ah! Konimi-san! Look out!",
"Konimi-senpai! I'm so sorry! It's coming at you!",
came me Sugawara's and Hinata's familliar voices.
Cosette looked up to see a volleyball flying at her, and, once again acting on pure instinct, she put her hands up and tossed the ball away from her face, the ball landing straight into Nishinoya's arms.
When a ball was flying towards you at full speed, you really didn't have much time to think of what would happen once you did what you did.
Out of the corner of her eye, Cosette could've sworn she saw a small smile on Kenma's face.
"Eh!" Came Yaku's voice, a bewildered tone to it. "You set the ball!"
Cosette winced.
"That was a great toss, Konimi-san!" Sugawara smiled.
"You didn't tell me you played!" Hinata whined.
"You're a setter?" Kageyama said plainly.
"Th-that was pretty cool!" Nishinoya and Tanaka exclaimed.
"Ohoho, Kenma, we have aother setter at Nekoma~" Kuroo grinned.
"...of course we do. There's a girls' volleyball team as well."
"...killjoy."
Cosette took in a deep breath. "I'm not a volleyball player," she said plainly. Kenma met her eyes, understanding.
He was the only one who currently knew her experience with volleyball.
"But you just---" Lev began.
"Your match is over, right?" Cosette cut in.
"Yeah, we won! That was set point, and we blocked shrimp-chan~" said Kuroo, smirking at Daichi, who sighed.
"I'll get you next time! I will, I really will!" Hinata cried out indignantly.
"Guys, guys, calm down," Sugawara sighed.
"Etto, can I borrow Morisuke for a bit...?"
"Morisuke!" Yamamoto cried out. "They're on a first-name basis! When did that happen?!"
"Go, Yaku-san!" Lev cheered.
The said libero coughed loudly, flustered. "C-cut it out, guys," he pleaded.
Kuroo gave him a little push. "You're free, go talk to your girl~"
"Kuroo!" Yaku cried, his face heating up even more. "Idiot, how many times to I have to tell you?! It's not like that!"
Kenma shifted awkwardly in his place, tugging at his friend's arm. "Yeah, Kuroo... please don't."
The middle blocker smirked knowingly, and Kenma averted his gaze.
