Third Person
"Our bus is going on ahead, so we'll see you in Shinzen, huh?" Yaku smiled.
"Yeah, whatever..." Cosette muttered softly, looking away.
"Don't be so cold to us, Konimi-chan~!" Kuroo teased.
"But isn't she alwa---" Lev began, when Yamamoto shushed him.
Cosette sighed and rolled her eyes, but said nothing. She hated the fact that in just a span of four days, she was already warming up to most of the team---with the exception of Kuroo Tetsurou.
Just like with Yaku's family, it was quite hard not to.
She knew it wasn't good for her. She knew it would ruin her in the end, because, doesn't it always?
Yet, she was hoping against hope that she wouldn't get hurt. She couldn't distance herself enough; it was impossible. But she knew she couldn't allow herself to get any closer to them.
She was still afraid.
"Ah, Mori-kun!" Naomi waved, bouncing over to the volleyball team that was crowded around a bus.
The libero paled a little, embarrassed. "Naomi..."
"It's real great to see you again, Kuroo, Yamamoto," she smiled at them, causing the latter to blush.
"You're Naomi!" Lev cried, holding out a hand. "It's nice to meet you! I'm Haiba Lev!"
Naomi laughed, shaking his hand. "You're half too, aren't you?"
"Yeah! Half-Russian!"
"Ne~, that's pretty cool... can you speak Russian?"
"Nope... I was raised here..."
"Awww~ that's too bad~!"
"You never told me you were enrolling here..."
"Yeah, sorry about that, it was supposed to come as a surprise..."
An unfortunate one, Cosette thought grimly to herself.
She wasn't sure why she held such resent towards Naomi. Be it her extremely flirtatious nature towards everyone (especially Yaku), or her overly cheerful personality, she didn't know.
Naomi wasn't the type of girl to get the hint easily, though. Through the span of two days, she had tirelessly tried to get on good terms with the half-Japanese, but the more she tried, the more irritated Cosette would get.
She was like a little sibling trying to get your attention.
"Volleyball club, get in here!"
"Looks like you'll have to go... see you guys in Shinzen, hopefully!" Naomi flashed the boys a grin. "Good luck, okay?"
"You too, Naomi," Yaku smiled. Though he would admit that he found her straightforwardness annoying at times, she was still his childhood friend, and he couldn't really hate her for that.
"You're real sweet, Mori-kun~" she sang out, giving him her usual peck on the cheek.
"You haven't changed at all, huh, Naomi?" Kuroo laughed at his classmate's flustered face.
"I really wish you'd stop doing that," Yaku muttered, completely embarrassed.
"Byee~!" the raven-haired girl waved cheerfully as the team entered the bus.
Cosette, completely irritated with the whole scene, let out a sigh and swiftly turned away, heading towards the Les Miserables cast.
She just had to do that every single time I was there.
