Earth to Echo 2: The Next Generation

Chapter 8

"Hey guys, we never really introduced ourselves to Lynx." Dylan said.

"Ok get her out." I told him.

Dylan walked over and grabbed her out of my bag.

Dylan started, "Well um, I'm Dylan and I, um, like to do stuff?"

"Like to do stuff? Seriously?" Jackson laughed.

I grabbed Lynx out of Dylan's hand.

"Hi I'm Carmon, obviously. I usually hang out with these three weirdos. Sadly that's my life." I looked at Jackson and handed her over.

"Umm, well I'm Jackson in case you didn't figure that out. Not to brag but, I am pretty much the most awesome thing that ever happened and I guess that's it-"

Jackson was cut off by Brendon, "He also has a huge crush on-"

"Dude shut up!" Jackson shouted as he frantically looked over at me, "Here, just take her Brendon."

"Well I'm Brendon. I guess you could say I'm the leader of the group, but that's an understatement."

"Brendon." We all sighed while rolling our eyes.

I looked at the watch on my wrist, "Woah guys it's already 3:00 we should get going."

"Yay another chance to get killed." Brendon replied sarcastically.

"Whatever, let's just get going." Dylan said.

After about a half an hour of riding our bikes we finally reached our destination, a playground.

"Yes!" Brendon shouted as he ran over to the slides.

"Wow, just wow."

Then it happened. The entire playground began to shake. The swing unhinged and pieces of the metal chain fell off and formed a silver sphere. The sphere then proceeded to stick itself inside of the golden pyramid.
It dropped into my hand. I looked up and saw everyone's eyes on me.

All four of us stood awkwardly. We then ran to our bikes and peddled away as fast as we could.
