20 Years Later

I walked down the stairs and smiled at the sight of Jackson and our daughter, Bailey, watching the football game together.

Flashback

Jackson and I were on a road trip. Going through all the places we went during our adventure with Lynx. While walking through the woods we reached the little shack we stayed in.

"Remember this place?" He asked me.

"How could I forget." I answered while resting my head on his shoulder.

"Remember what happened here?" He continued asking.

I blushed a little and said, "Yep, you asked me to be your girlfriend and we'd been together ever since."

"Well," He walked in front of me, "I'd like to ask you something else."

Jackson got down on one knee and said, "Carmon Nichols will you marry me?"

"Well, I-" Then I remembered something.

I ran outside underneath a tree.

"Carmon, wait!" He shouted.

Once he caught up with me he looked at me confusedly.

"Yes." I answered.

"Yes, what?" He asked.

"Yes, I'll marry you."

Then he remembered where we were. The place that we had our first kiss.

He took my hands and I kissed him.

End Of Flashback

Bailey looked at me. She had her Grandfather's eyes, my hair, and her father's love of sports.

"Mommy!" She squeaked as she ran over and hugged me.

Then the doorbell rang.

I opened it and there they were, Dylan and Brendon.

"Guys!" I greeted them as I hugged them.

Bailey screamed, "Uncle Dyl and Uncle Brendon!"

"Hey Bailes!" Dylan exclaimed.

"Where are Jarod and Tommy?" She asked.

"We're right here!" Tommy shouted from behind his father, Dylan.

The three ran to the side and started a game of tag.

Jackson joined us as we talked.

Then I noticed a little boy who looked about a year older than Bailey.

"Hey can I play?" He asked the kids.

"Sure! What's your name?" Bailey questioned.

"Jordan." He answered.

He joined in and I spotted his mother waving from across the street.

"Is that Madaline from school?" Brendon asked.

"I think so." I said.

She jogged over to the porch and we all greeted her.

After a moment of silence I looked at the kids and said, "Y'know, we did good guys. Real good."
