Katie's POV
I woke up and de'ja'vu hit me, James laid peacefully in my bed where we had fallen asleep after watching a movie together last night. It was just like all those nights we spent together before I left. and before I broke his heart. I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world to have a guy care for me the way he did, and I blew it. But he's back now, and I'm not going to ruin it.
I slipped quietly into the bathroom and started getting ready for meeting my biological father today.
How will he act?
How will I act?
I wonder if he knows my mum?
If he does know my mum then can I meet her?
why now? after all these years of me being abandoned does he show up?
I finished my hair putting away the questions that kept coming to my mind.
"I gotta go" I whispered in James's ear "ok"
"you ready to go?" Louis asked holding Tommy's hand.
"yeah I'm ready" I replied as the questions resurfaced in my head.
"Paul is meeting us there - do you feel okay Katie you're face is really white" I wanted to reply so badly, but my ears started buzzing and my stomach churned and my vision became blurry. "Katie-"
Louis's POV
Her head hit the floor hard, taking the stool down with her. It hit her over the head as it came crashing down. James came running downstairs due to the ruckus. I wondered what he was doing here running down without a shirt on but the fact that my niece was on the floor concerned me more than her ex, or were they back together now?
"call 911" I shouted at James he fumbled around grabbing his phone out of his pocket. "yeah she hit her head hard on the floor- one sec" he pulled the phone away from his ear. "does she have a pulse?" "yes but it's slowing down" "Miss- we need the ambulance now!" he shouts in the phone. Finally the ambulance pulled into the driveway and the paramedics rushed in. they put her lifeless body on the gurney "are you going?" the paramedic asks "yeah- James" i say turning my head where he held Tommy "watch him, I'll call you soon" "ok"he responds and I jump into the ambulance.

I sat in the waiting room, they were examining her, been a good 4 hours. I had called the boys and they were getting here as soon as possible. I shut my eyes. My mind wondering back to the day we got her.
"you what?" i said staring at Liam after he told us he wanted to adopt a kid. "I've wanted to adopt a kid since we got back from Ghana" he says "and Simon said yes, so we're going today" he says holding the car keys.
"Katie Payne" the doctors voice pulled me out of my flashback."is she okay?" the adrenaline rushed in my body as i stood up. "she's in a coma" he said. "Can i see her?" i asked him "yeah of course" he replies leading me through the halls "she's in here. I want to let you know she's in pretty serious condition. She hit her head hard and is on life support right now... there's a chance she wont wake up" the doctor said. I let myself in and sat in one of the chairs pulling it next to the bed where the machine showed her heart beat. "Katie.. I need you to wake up, Tommy needs you to wake up. Niall, Harry, Liam and Zayn and Perrie and Sophia need you to wake up. Your new baby sister or brother needs you to wake up" i was listing off names. Name of people who loved her. "But mostly-" I let the tears fall "I love you Katie Lynn. And I know it's only been two months but- you have this spark. Please don't go" I begged.
Niall's POV
I grabbed my duffel bag throwing shit in it and ran around the house before boarding the plane taking me to London.

I ran into the hospital stopping at the nurses station. "Katie Lynn Payne?" I asked the nurse behind the desk. "Room 431, take the elevator up when you get off second room on the right" "thank you" I say running off. I finally got to the room, knocking on the door. "Im glad your here Niall" "well she means the world to me. I'll be here every minute for our Ray of sunshine" I weakly smiled at him. "What did the doctor say" I ask "she might not wake up" "it's not a might mate, she'll wake up. She's a warrior" "yeah she is, I'm going to call james and update him on the situation. Then I'm going to get some soda do you want anything?" I shook my head staring at Katie as she laid still in the bed.
"Katie, it's me Niall. Thanks for all the notes they mean a lot. Please wake up" I pleaded sitting down.
