Mrs. Clarke's POV

She was passed out in his arms. Covered in blood and soaking wet. I hadn't even noticed it was raining. He was shaking he was scared so bad. Jacob took one look and crumpled to the floor. Will stood there in shock for a couple of seconds then jumped into action. He yanked the boy inside the door as gently as he could without hurting Sydney further. He slammed the door and bolted the many locks. We all huddled around the boy as he placed her on the floor. Jacob crawled over to her body, barely holding back the cries I could see rising up in his face. He looked up at the boy and screamed.

                     "WHAT THE FU** HAPPENED TO HER HUNTER?! I CALLED YOU SO YOU COULD WATCH OVER HER!" he ran out of screams and started shaking violently. The boy, Hunter was crying. I walked over to him and put my arm around him.

                       "Son, you need to help us get her back in the car. She needs to go to the hospital." he nodded and handed me a piece of paper. "I f-found this in her...her hands." I unfolded the piece of paper while the boys loaded Sydney into the car.

Hello, Mrs. Clarke,

You thought we weren't smart enough to find her? To find you? Don't ever underestimate us. You lied. You have talked to her. And for that, you're going to pay the price like your daughter did. We didn't kill her because we need her alive, but now you see that you don't play with us. You better think about your next move Mrs. Clarke. We're ALWAYS watching. Don't ever forget.

I crumbled the note and shoved it deep into my pocket. Those bas**rds! I bit my lip trying not to cry. I had to stay strong. I have to fight for Sydney. They're not going to take another child away from me! I ran to the car where Jacob, Will, and Hunter were loading Sydney into the car. Jacob was shaking so furiously I thought he was going to convulse. Jacob was holding onto Sydney with all he had left. I could almost literally see his heart shattering. I placed my hand on his shoulder. Hunter sat in the passengers seat barely hanging onto sanity. Will jumped in the drivers seat and sped out of the driveway.

When we pulled into the hospital parking lot we all jumped out of the car and went into action. Jacob ran into the hospital with Sydney. Will went to park the car. And I tried to console Hunter. The poor boy looked like death itself. I grabbed him and pulled him to me. He poured his heart out in my arms. He screamed and cried and then screamed some more. I slowly walked us into the hospital where we saw Jacob looking a wreck.

                     "Where did they take her?!" he didn't even look at me. "She's hurt so badly they had to do immediate surgery. They said she probably has a 50/50 chance, with just one look at her they knew that! It's that fuc**ing BAD! Those dumba** fuc**ers! If I EVER get close enough to them they will suffer in more ways than they can count." he put his head in his hands and didn't look up. Will came running in a few seconds later. I told him what Jacob told me and we all sat down. Will turned to me with weary eyes.

                       "What did the note say?" Jacob looked up at me quickly and waited for me to answer. I took the crumpled up piece of paper out of my pocket and handed it to Will. He quickly scanned it and went white. Jacob dashed over to us and snatched it from him. He read it quickly. "THOSE SICK BAS**RDS! I swear I'm gonna kill them!" he walked back to his seat and fell into it. Hunter just bawled harder. I pulled him closer to me and let my unshed tears fall freely. My only daughter was in the hospital having drastic surgery all because of me. I felt sick.
