Sydney's POV
By the time the day was over I was practically running out of the school. That was the ultimate he**hole. I hated it. I was bursting with excitement to graduate next year. I just couldn't wait any longer! I was going to be lost without Jake next year. I would have Ron and Stacy left. I said my goodbyes to Ron and walked out of the school to my car. Jake was standing there talking to all the guys and when he saw me his face visibly brightened. I blushed so hard knowing I did that to him.
"I don't even need to turn around to know that Sydney is walking up behind us." Hunter said sarcastically. I walked up behind him and jumped on his back. He laughed and tried to throw me off. "Now Hunter, you don't want to hurt your friends girl do you?!" he laughed and stopped slinging me around. "I guess not, even though I would love to see you try to get away from me. That would be the day." he had his hand over his shoulder holding me there. I leaned up and bit his hand. He released me instantly and I ran into Jake's arms. He smiled and hugged me tightly while kissing the top of my head. I looked over at Hunter and he was looking at his hand.
"Sh*t Sydney! Jacob didn't tell us his girlfriend was a da*n vampire! That hurt like HE**!" he looked up at me and gave me an evil grin. "What goes around, comes around." he sang in an awful Justin Timberlake impression. I almost peed myself laughing. "Yeah, we'll see about that Hunt!" he just nodded his head and all the guys high fived me and walked off. I turned around in Jake's arms and kissed him lightly on the lips.
"What're we doing this evening babe?" he looked shocked. "Did you just call me BABE, Sydney Clarke?!" he was so slow. "Yeah, I did. get used to it. Now, what are we doing later? I kind of want to watch movies and eat pizza." he shrugged. "I don't care what we do as long as you're happy and you're safe. That's all that matters to me anymore. Plus, it's Friday and they're going to be too many people at the theater anyways. No need to call Will up just for that when we can just watch movies at home." I smiled and jumped in the drivers side of the car.
We pulled into the driveway and I saw my mom sitting there in her car. I inhaled sharply and Jake caught sight of her. He looked at me and got a pleading look on his face. "Sydney, stay in this car and don't get out until I call or text you to get out. If you see anything suspicious in the neighborhood drive around if you don't want to come in. But DON'T stop! For ANYTHING! You understand me? Better yet let me call Will." he grabbed his phone and talked to Will for a minute or two. Then he called Hunter for some reason. He hung up and looked at me again.
"Hunter is coming to ride around with you. I can't take the chance of you being alone. Will is going to talk to your mom along with me." he gave me a reassuring smile and ten seconds later Will, followed by Hunter pulled in the driveway. Jake grabbed me and kissed me with so much passion I almost fainted. "I love you, Sydney Clarke. You better come back to me perfect, like you are now." I smiled and nodded my head. "I love you too, Jake." he released me and got out of the car. Hunter jumped in his place quickly and smiled at me. I sighed inwardly. Couldn't Jake have called one of the OTHER guys. Hunter was going to torture me.
I looked out the windshield and caught Jake looking at me. He gave me an apologetic look as if reading my mind. I just shrugged and waved to him as we were pulling out of the driveway. Hunter cleared his throat and patted his knee nervously while making an annoying tapping sound with his feet shaking the entire car. "Hunter! Good lord. What's wrong?! Why are you so nervous to be around me? I'm just Josh's little sister and Jake's girlfriend. That's it. I'm not some queen vampire that's gonna kill you. Although, if you don't stop making those noises and shaking the car...I just might." I looked at him and gave him a cheeky grin. He gave me a small smile back and inhaled deeply.
