Violet's pov
"Okay so let me get this straight your sending me across the world to live with a family I don't even know for my own safety? This is crazy! You guys never even let me go outside not since what happened... Plus this isn't even fair you didn't even ask what I thought about this!" I yelled at my parents. I mean who do they think they are?
"Honey we don't want you to leave but we would rather you be safe. As your parents we decided to do what we thought is best for you and this is it Violet. I'm sorry but there is nothing else we can do about it. Don't worry you'll be back soon okay? Once we finished this mission you can come back home plus they are really nice people honey. Emma is a wonder full person I've known her for years!" My mother said calmly.
I sighed I suppose she is right but really all the way to Florida? How am I even going to fit in there? I have long brownish hair and olive skin. I'm 5'7 and I guess i'm average looking but the people in Florida are pretty much all blonde all beautiful and all tan. I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb!
I looked back at my parents sighing once more before responding back to her "I'm going to miss you guys so much." I hugged my parents briefly.
"I know baby but Emma will be here in a few minutes so get ready okay?" My mom said before leaving my room.
I sighed and layed on my bed opening my laptop. I went onto Skype so I could talk to my best friend, well my only friend really saying as my parents never let me leave the house. One day my mom just burst in my room and told me I had a friend on the phone. Which startled me but I picked up the phone and ever since that day Will and I have been best friends.
"Hey Will you'll never believe where I'm going." I said dramatically flopping down on my bed.
"Hey Violet, Where are you going?" He asked sitting down in what appeared to be his room.
"My parents are sending me all the way to Florida! Can you believe this?!" I screamed. Will looked at me funny but before he could say anything I heard my mom calling me from downstairs I guess its time to go.
" Well at least I get to go outside and actually get to be a teenager! Oh I have to go i'll Skype you when I get to where I'm living." I said blowing him a quick kiss before shutting off my laptop.
I hopped off of my bed and put my laptop in my bag. I stood in front of my mirror and just starred for a moment. My wavy brown hair fell down way past my shoulders. The eyes, my beautiful brown eyes starred back at me sad and fearful. My beautiful olive skin and eyes were nothing like my parents. I envied my mother, she had the beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes she was the whole package and I just felt so plain compared to her. I looked in the mirror for one last time before walking away. I turned around taking one last look at my room and what I was leaving behind before shutting off the light and walking down the stairs.
When I reached the living room where my parents were there was this very beautiful women sitting next to my mom. She was a very tall women I'd say about 5'8 even without those heels. She had beautiful dirty blonde hair that ended right at her shoulders and an outfit that anyone would kill for. She kind of reminded me of a fashion designer.
"Oh my you're so pretty and you look just like your father! Hi, I am Emma and you must be Violet I can't wait for you to meet my husband and kids oh you're going to love it there." I smiled politely at her. Geez she talks funny. Is that how all the people in the States talk?
"Well let's get going or we are going to miss our flight!" Emma said quickly rushing us along. I hugged my parents one last time and said goodbye.
The ride to the airport was well very loud. Emma kept talking about all of the new things I am going to experience in Florida. By the time we finally got to the airport I knew pretty much everything there was to know about Florida. I was amazed at the all the plants and animals I saw while driving to the airport as well. I don't know why my parents kept me in the house all the time because nature looked absolutely safe to me.
Once we got on the plane which was very chaotic by the way I ended up falling asleep. "Violet wake up honey we are here." Emma said. I groaned and stood up slowly stretching before grabbing some of my bags while Emma grabbed the others. When we got in the car I suddenly realized I don't know any of her kids names. I think she only has two but I'm not sure.
"So Emma how many kids do you have?" I asked curiously looking at all the beautiful water around us.
"Aw your British accent is so cute but I have thirteen boys dear." My jaw practical hit the floor.
"Thirteen!?!?!" I said shocked. Seriously she has to be kidding how in the world am I going to survive living in a house with thirteen boys!
"Yes oh I forgot to tell you their names okay so here it goes. Derek, Sam, Aaron and Jeremy are barley at the house since they are all over the age of eighteen. Tyler and Taylor who are both eighteen are twins along with Adam and Zack and they are both sixteen. My youngest Troy is just the cutest little boy ever."
Before Emma could finish telling me the rest of the boy's names we pulled up to a huge house. When I say huge I mean really huge like ten times bigger than my house. Emma said something to the guard and then the gates opened as soon as we pulled up to the house Emma told me that she was going to get one of the boys to help with my bags so I could just wait by the car.
When she returned she had someone walking behind her. She moved out of the way to the back of the car to get the rest of my bags and I saw someone I never ever thought I would see. I saw Will my best and only friend standing there.
"WILL!" I screamed running up to him.
"Violet? What are you doing here?" He asked me while hugging me.
Emma looked us confused although I thought I saw a hint of a smile before she asked "Do you guys know each other?"
"Yes!" I responded to Emma before turning to Will. "Will you know how I told you my parents were sending me to live with some family in Florida? Well here I am! I can't believe I get to actually hang out with you this is going to be so much fun!" I said smiling. Maybe living with the Turners won't be that bad. But little did I know the challenges that were just around the corner.
