23: We are twins

SAM'S POV

I woke up in a soft comfy bed. I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting to the light. I'm in a room. I look around. Nobody here. But from downstairs I can hear people. Music? Instead of waiting, I quickly get out of bed and walk silently down the stairs. I see Rich and Jack talking together. And a girl?

People are dancing ,singing, shouting, and even drinking. Without hesitation I join in. I am not a coward and I will take risks. Someone grabs my hand and swivels me around to face him. O he and his blue eyes.

"You thought you won't dance with me" Rich says

I smiled and we started dancing. Joining with the crowd. Being happy. Once we rest, I take Rich away and ask him "Rich, who is that girl?" I say showing with my eyes who I'm talking about.

"Oh, her...apparently she is a huge fan of Jack Sparrow and waited her whole life for this moment. Then I looked at her and saw her eyes. They were identical as yours. Hazel. Her smile was like yours and the only thing that was different was her nose. You two look identical. You know what" He said and dragged me to that girl, whom I didn't know the name.

"Hey" Says to her.

She twirls around and looks straight at me. I do to. I look at her clothes. A ragged dress just like mine, but brown, her hair the same length as mine, but the only difference was that she had shoes I didn't.

"Oh my!Your feet must be cold wait a second" she says pointing one finger and runs off.

I just stood there with my mouth open. How is that possible? Only Jack, my brother, was related to me, no one else. She ran back with a pair of brown boots.

"Your feet look the same size as mine, so they might fit" I out them on and they are very, very comfy.

"So, what is your name?" I ask her.

"My name is Sandra, yours?"

"Samantha" I answer bewildered.

After that we just started talking. A Lot. She was just like me. Emotional but cheery. She has a kind heart, but she looks just like me. Then she pops a question.

"So, I heard that there is a mermaid around here apparently she came from the future?" she asks

I knew this question was coming. Instead of answering I asked her

"What would you do if you meet her?"

"Many would run, but I need to talk to her" she said

"Sandra...I am Starlight" I whisper

She laughs. That's totally what I would do.

"If yes then prove it" Totally my attitude.

"Ok"

I take her hand and drag her out and upstairs where there was water in a bath tub, made of wood.

I get in it and show her. As you would expect her mouth dropped open.

"You didn't lie" She says gasped.

"What did you want to ask?" I ask

She takes a small chair and sits. She takes her dress and starts holding it tightly. Is she nervous?

"Well, I am not from here" she continues "I am...from...th-the...BLOODY HELL! I am from the future" she finishes.

"Future?"

"Future" she agrees."And as we look practically identical, I want to ask you, which hospital were you born in?" she asks

"Ummm...Rudolph Hospital" (Terrible but ignore)

"ME TOO!, now let me guess, were you born, on the 8th of August?" She asked

"Yes"

She just stares. As well as I. We are both shocked of what happened. I break the silence.

"You know what...Just tell me the whole story and I will not tell anyone, mermaids promise, and I need to unravel some things?" she nodded and started.

"I was born on August 8th in 1999, in Rudolph Hospital in Australia. I was taken to a lady, which was apparently my mother. She kept on cursing throughout my life that I killed her son and that I was the monster. Once she tried to kill me. After being with her eight years, she gave me away to a children's home which wasn't better than home. The kids were bullying me and the teachers and carers didn't do anything. When I was being interviewed for adoption the bullies thought of something stupid, which would cause the people to leave and say that I am a disgrace. Then she came, a beautiful lady, called Maria. The bullies done everything to stop the adoption, but Maria didn't believe them and eventually adopted me. When I turned 10, she decided to help me find my real parents. So we went around to every hospital in Australia, until we found Rudolph Hospital. They said that there was an unfortunate mistake when they were giving back the babies. They said that I was switched. The boy went to a wrong family as did I. I found out that my real mothers name is Nathalie Gremsouge, and that I was a twin. I decided that I found my real mother, which was Maria. When I turned 12, I had a passion for pirates and decided that one day I will meet Jack Sparrow, sorry, Captain Jack Sparrow. And I found about the 3 daggers that were hidden somewhere in the world. I went to Africa, Asia, America, Europe, but then I went to the Caribbean, and found it. I done what it said and wiht one moment I am in the prehistoric times. And I didn't leave ever since those 4 years." she finished.

With all of that information. About my mum, the switching at birth, and the dagger, led to one thing.

"Sandy, we are twins"
