STARLIGHT'S POV

I am woken up by chatting, and by a rocking...boat?! Where the hell am I going?

"She's awake" that voice sounds familiar, wait that dirty blonde ponytail hair, those blue eyes, Richard?
"Rich?" I say, half yawning
"Yep, its me" he says simply

I quickly get up and see that im surrounded by four men, Rich, Jack, Gibbs, and a nerd with a book.

"Rum?" Jack offers,
I shake my head.
"More me then Aye?" Jack says
And others just leave him hanging and I giggle

Just then I realise that Parita is not here.

"Parita! Where is she?!" I nearly shout
"Right behind you!" she says, tickling me

I turn around and see in the water
"Yoy slept longer than I thought" she says
"Thanks?!"

And I hold my head tightly, with a massive pain.

"Whats happening?" Parita asks worried
"My head"
"Its all your fault Jack" she glares at him
"She deserved it" he says
"What? WHAT did I do?" I say nearly yelling
"You said a word that will haunt you, so I didnt want to risk it, so hit your head with my worthy bottle of rum, so that word will disappear from your head"
"What word?" I say confused,
"See my plan worked" Jack says proud.
"You said the seawithes name" Gibbs helps out.

"Oh, and by the way, what are these people doin' here?" I say. Motioning to Rich and the nerd
"Hey you have a problem?" Rich interrupts
"Curiosity" I say simply
"Well, you know Rich, and that over there is Matthew, he studies mermaids, and he's an expert." Gibbs explains

Hmmmm, studies mermaids lets test him.

"Ok, so Matthew(he turns around) how long do mermaids live, approximately?"
"About 50 years"
"Nope,you're wrong, they actually live up to 14,000 years"
"im sorry but you must be wrong, because I looked through every single book, and all it said was 50 years"
"Mat, do you know who I am?" I ask him
"A girl"
"I am Starlight"

His mouth drops

"Gibbs you told me that we are going to have an actual mermaid on board" Mat looks scared

"Mat,mat" I say
"Do not touch me! DONT SING PLEASE!" Oh my frightened that poor think, gosh I am actually a monster

*Dont think like that Star
^But I am a monster

I tell Parita.

"Mat, I dont eat human hearts, but if I do, it wont be you" and then I remember how Jack, my Jack, my only brother, looked like when he died. And I start to cry and sob.

"Whats wrong love?" Jack asks
"It's my...(sob)...brother...thats the reason I came...a...merman killed him...by eating his heart(sob)...I want him alive, he's the purpose of my life if not him then I dont need to live" I finally say.

Rich pulls me into a hug and sob into his chest. Feeling his heart beating.

PARITA'S POV

I just couldn't watch her sob and cry all the time. I had to do something.

*Star, dont cry

* So think about what you are going to do, about what you're going to face, think ahead

Finally some improvement. I smile to myself. I jump into the drifting boat, and see my tail transform into legs. I come closer to Starlight, and she lets go of Rich's embrace and starts to hug me.

"Im with you, always" I say
"I love you"Star says
"Me too" I whisper
