The next day, Becca was up before Katy, helping her parents set up bed sets and dressers. By the time Katy awoke, at ten, a lot of work had been done, and the only room left to set the bed up in was the one she was sleeping in. She sighed and got up, getting dressed quickly. She ran down the stairs lightly, finding Becca in the kitchen with her parents, talking.

"Why didn't you guys wake me up earlier?" She asked, sitting down next to Becca, who gave her a sandwich.

"We didn't want to wake you up. According to your mom, you were working hard yesterday before you came here, so you must have been tired. Don't worry, you didn't miss out on much, just setting up beds." Mr. Sawyer said, standing up and going over to the stove.

"Do you want some coffee, Katy?" He asked, opening the cabinet containing mugs.

"Yes please."

"Hey dad can I have some more?" Becca asked, holding up her empty, rather large, mug. He took her mug and filled it with black coffee, pushing the creamer towards her. She grabbed it without looking, pouring some into her coffee, picking up her spoon and stirring it silently.

"Hey Becca, you okay?" Katy asked, mixing creamer and sugar into her coffee.

"Yeah I'm fine, just thinking. I'll tell you later." She glanced at Katy, then looked back out the window, drinking her coffee slowly. Katy just nodded, drinking some of her coffee before wrinkling her nose and looking at the sugar container...which turned out to be salt. She rolled her eyes and got up, exchanging her salty coffee for sugary coffee.

She and Becca were strong friends, and if one said to the other that they would tell them something later, they didn't bug each other, just trusted each other and let it go, doing their best to cheer up.

As they drank their coffee, she and Becca talked about what to do that day after they finished helping out with setting up rooms.

"I can teach you how to skateboard if you want." Becca said, filling her cup with peppermint tea after rinsing out the coffee remaining in the bottom of the cup.

"Meh, I think I'll pass on that one. How about we go visit Anne?" Becca lit up at the mention of her married sister, and nodded, sipping her tea.

"That's a good idea. But you have to learn how to skateboard eventually, you promised." Katy laughed, putting her mug in the sink.

"I know, and one day, I'm going to SO regret that promise." Becca laughed and stood up, picking up her mug and intertwining her arm with Katy's, walking out to get permission from her parents to visit her sister.

Four months later on a Saturday night, the majority of the Sawyer family was at Katy's house with her family, doing some sort of gathering thing, while Becca, Katy and Katy's sister Marie stayed at home singing karaoke and being weird.

Right now Katy and Becca were singing Wings by Little Mix, and Marie was recording it with her phone, trying to keep it steady as she laughed at their silly antics.

When they finished singing, Becca and Katy said goodnight to Marie, who said she was going to bed, and sat on Becca's bed. They talked for a good while, then Katy said,

"Hey Becca, I have a deal to make."

"Time to make a deal." Becca said, quoting Once Upon a Time's Rumpelstiltskin. Katy laughed then said,

"OK, come on seriously now."

"OK, what's your deal dearie?" She asked, tilting her head.

"You let me do your hair and chose your outfit for you tomorrow, as well as make up-" Becca groaned at this.
