The next day, Becca and Katy went to a hair salon nearby, where Becca got her hair cut and dyed, getting it dyed just for fun. A/N fyi, it's 2014 Harry. When she got back to the house, she and Katy went on the road where they practiced on their skateboards for a good long while, until Katy got called back to her house and Becca went over to Harry's house. She and Harry went on a walk through the woods, listening to music as they walked. Becca for the most part skipped around to the music playing from her phone, ignorant of Harry taking pictures of her jumping around and taking videos of her. When she finally did notice, she walked back towards him laughing and asked,
"You're going to be the one capturing moments of our relationship aren't you?" Harry laughed and nodded, putting his phone in his pocket before taking her hand again.
"What sort of relationship do you want to have?" He asked, swinging their hands as they walked, Magnets by Lorde playing from her phone.
"I want to have the best kind of relationship, one where we go out and do a bunch of stuff, go on walks, go skateboarding, go do a ton of stuff. Not one of those boring relationships! You know where they just sit around being parakeets." She scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"What do you mean by parakeets?" Becca laughed, starting to nod her head in time to the song, When I Look At You, then explained.
"When my sisters courted, they would mostly just sit on the couch cuddling and shiz like that. Same with my brothers, and almost-nope, everyone else."
"Ah. I take it you don't like just sitting on the couch being parakeets?" Becca laughed, spinning around to the tune of Sweeter Than Fiction by Taylor Swift, and replied,
"That's the most true thing you've said all day!" Harry laughed, shaking his head.
"Anyways, even before I met you, I always said I wouldn't have one of those relationships: I'd go out and do stuff."
"Well do you want to go do something today?"
"Like right now?" Harry nodded.
"Sure! What would we do?"
"I don't know this town too well yet. What can we do?"
"Go ice skating!" She exclaimed.
"Oh I don't know. I'm not too good at ice skating." Becca rolled her eyes, laughing.
"You'll be fine, I'll help you! Let's go ask Mom if Katy needs to come or someone else. Come on!" She and Harry went back to the house where they got permission to go skating by themselves. They went to a large skating rink, and Harry got the skates. Becca laced her skates with ease and went down to the skating rink, where she practiced a bit, going around the practically empty rink easily and quickly, holding her arms clasped together at the wrists behind her back. She saw Harry come onto the ice uneasily, holding his arms out and bending his back to try and keep his balance. She skated over quickly, helping him.
"Here, hold on to the wall with one hand until you get the hang of it. Straighten up your back, and use the tips of your skates to move forward." She instructed, taking hold of one of his hands, lightly slapping his back to make him stand up straight. He did as she instructed, and started to get the hang of it. She pulled on his hand to bring him away from the wall, holding both of his hands in hers as she skated next to him, getting him to skate slowly and carefully around the center of the arena.
"There you go, you're getting it!" Becca exclaimed, and let go of his right hand. Then somehow or other, Harry got his left foot caught behind his right, and fell forward on the ice. Becca winced, digging the ridges on the edge of the skates into the ice, squatting down next to him, resting one hand on the ice. She asked,
"Are you okay?" Harry nodded, and Becca tried to hold back her laughter.
"OK, now hold yourself up with your hands on the ice, dig the ridges into the ice, and push up carefully." Harry got up successfully, then Becca burst into laughter.
"I'm sorry Harry, but you just, reminded me of when I first fell down on the ice. You just made this awesome face, oh my gosh." She bent over, easily keeping her balance with the ridged skate, then leaned against the wall, calming down.
"Sorry." She said, and looked at the clock.
"Oh it's time to get off the ice." She said, frowning. Harry meanwhile, had been occupied in scooping up the chipped off ice, forming it into a small snowball, which he now pushed down Becca's shirt.
"Yikes!" She shrieked, jerking forward. The sudden jerky movement made her fall down on her back, hitting her head on the ice.
"Ow..." She groaned, and glared up at Harry.
"Are you okay?" He asked, kneeling down next to her. She glared at him for a second before she started giggling, then burst out laughing.
"That, was awesome." She said, standing up.
"Come on, let's get out of here before we break our legs." They went out of the skating rink, then went back out of the rink.
They went home, and collapsed on the couch, as Harry wasn't used to exercising his legs that much. Becca was tired too, not only from skating and being energetic earlier during the walk, so she leaned against his shoulder as he rested his head on the back of the couch, closing her eyes with a sigh.
"I am so tired." She breathed, feeling sleep over take her. Harry chuckled softly, and she felt the weight of his arm rest on her shoulder and side, then he kissed the top of her head.
"Go to sleep, Becca." She took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly, then fell asleep.
