"Katy come on, time to learn." Becca urged Katy down the stairs, carrying her skateboard in one arm, pushing Katy with her other arm.

Katy laughed, going outside with Becca. She put on guards, elbow and knee pads, as well as wrist braces, putting a helmet on at Becca's insistence. They walked out to the low traffic road and Becca put down the skateboard, helping Katy onto it.

"Keep your weight evenly distributed, and keep your back straight. Now reach down with your left foot and push gently." Katy followed her instructions, keeping a tight grip on her friend's hand. They'd just started getting the hang of it, when Katy's balance went off and the skateboard shot forward, making Katy fall backwards. Becca caught her, but they ended up both falling down, Becca cushioning Katy's fall.

Katy quickly got up, helping up her friend, apologizing. Becca just laughed and said, retrieving the skateboard,

"It's fine! You just had your first fall from the skateboard. I had mine within the first five seconds or so I was on it. Of course, I didn't have anyone helping me either." She suddenly held still upon seeing something in the trees.

"Becca? What is it?" Katy asked her, going to Becca's side.

"Take off your pads and helmet, we're going to snoop." Katy took off her pads and helmet, taking the skateboard as well, putting them inside the fence surrounding Becca's home. She pushed her red hair out of her eyes, going over the fence with Becca's assistance; Becca basically lifted her over the fence and let her jump down. Becca managed to jump over the fence gracefully, and Katy rolled her eyes.

"Show off." Becca laughed quietly.

"Just long legs, dearie. Now come on, and if you're gonna say anything, make sure it's completely necessary and whispered." Katy nodded, following Becca through the trees. After they'd been carefully walking for about ten minutes, she whispered,

"So, why are we snooping here?" Becca stepped over a rather wide creek, ignoring the stepping stones in the middles, helping Katy over the water.

"The mailbox said Styles on it." She replied, going up a steep hill easily.

"So?" Katy asked, slipping on the steep slope.

"So there's something odd about those five families from Europe. They didn't say anything about being rich, but anyone with this much property and well taken care of grass, not to mention planned landscaping, has to be at least comfortably well off." Becca practically pulled Katy up the hill, continuing through the trees until they'd found the driveway again, keeping within the trees.

"Ugh why do you have to have such good senses about these things?!" Katy exclaimed, keeping up with Becca at last.

"I don't know. Sometimes I wish I didn't have them either, you know." Katy lightly pushed Becca's shoulder, saying as she did,

"Don't worry, it's a good thing too. Besides, this is exciting." Becca smiled, then stopped suddenly.

"Look." She whispered, staring ahead of her. Katy looked ahead, and her jaw dropped open. In front of them was a huge white and yellow accented mansion. Becca swallowed and said,

"Definitely not poor." She cleared her throat and pinched Katy's arm lightly, getting her in this fashion to stop staring at the house.

"Ow. What?" Katy whispered, looking at Becca. Becca inclined her head towards the house, and said softly,

"Let's make sure it's the Styles we're thinking about." Katy shook her head.

"Oh no. If we get in trouble I won't be able to run fast enough and I'll get us in trouble. I'll wait at the end of the driveway for you." Becca smiled and gave Katy a quick hug before disappearing into the trees.
