Rebecca Sawyer could barely sit still in the family car, listening to her music as they drew near to their new home in Texas, near where her best friend Katy Black lived. Rebecca had long brown curly hair, hazel eyes, tanned skin but not dark, she had features very similar to Fearless Era Taylor Swift. Her nose was slightly smaller, with a higher forehead and thicker eyebrows. She was 5'7, the tallest of all the girls in her family, which she was very proud of, and she was considered the tom-boy of the family, which she was also very proud of. She wasn't easily swayed into doing anything she didn't like, being as stubborn as an ox, her parents said. But despite her stubbornness and tom-boy side, she was still kind and considerate, as well as weird and cheerful.

She had a lot of music knowledge; her friends teased her by calling her the queen of pop music knowledge, and she was proud of the title. Her queen of music was mainly Ellie Goulding. She wasn't easily intimidated, her sass coming from her own mind, and her well timed jokes came from joke battles with her four brothers. That's right. Four brothers and four sisters, with fifteen nieces and nephews.

The car came to a stop, and before anybody else could get out, Rebecca was out of the car, looking around the property but not going anywhere yet. Her family got out of the car, and she ran over to the white truck pulling a rented single horse trailer, greeting the person driving it; a family friend, Mr. Stuart. She gave him a hug, then ran to the end of the trailer, unhooking the door and clipping a lead rope to the palomino's halter.

"Mom, I'm taking Beauty on a ride around to Katy's house, okay?!" She shouted, waiting for her mom to respond.

"OK Becca, just take your phone and be careful." Her mom replied.

"Yes." She whispered, starting to ground work Beauty, the palomino. As soon as she was ready to be ridden, Rebecca, or Becca as we shall now call her, hooked the ends of the halter onto the rope, pulling herself up onto her back, situating herself a minute before lightly kicking Beauty's sides, making her gallop down the tar driveway, through the gates and onto the road, galloping towards her best friend, Katy Black's house.

She slid quickly off the horse when she reached Katy's house, having had Beauty jump the chain link fence, and knocked on the door. When someone answered, it was Katy, and they attacked each other in hugs.

"Oh my gosh Becca, I can't believe you're finally here!" Katy exclaimed, going down the porch steps with Becca. Katy got up onto Beauty after Becca opened the gate, getting behind her friend, and they talked as Beauty walked back to Becca's house.

Later that night, as Becca and Katy lay on a sheet covered mattress, covered with a blanket Becca and her sisters had made for Mrs. Sawyer years ago, Katy said, turning towards Becca,

"Wouldn't it be awesome if some families moved near Saint Xavier's and they had boys, and those boys didn't have girlfriends so we could crush on them?" Becca laughed quietly, as it was midnight and her family was asleep.

"Tssh, please. You know I don't care much about boys."

"Yeah but what if he had long hair and stunning eyes?" Katy lifted her arms up towards the ceiling, moving her hands as if she were painting a picture.

"And was a complete jerk face?" Katy dropped her arms and glared at Becca, who laughed at her friend's facial expression.

"Oh come on Beccaaaaaa...."

"Ok, ok. I don't know. I might like him a bit, then forget about it because every girl in Saint Xavier's would be clearly fantasizing about him and I'd get irritated, roll my eyes, then-"

"Walk away. I know. Gosh you are so boring sometimes." Becca laughed again at her friend.

"Well, what about you? Blonde dyed hair, stunning blue eyes, taller than you which honestly isn't hard to be?" Katy slapped her giggling friend's arm, rolling her eyes.

"Yes, actually. Preferably from Europe." Becca yawned, then said,

"Well, we'd better go to sleep now. You can dream of your prince charming and I'll dream of getting a good target for my archery." Katy snorted, turning so that her back was pressed against Becca's back.

"Whatever weirdo. Night."

"Night Katy." Becca said softly, closing her eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
