The next day, Becca was sitting at the piano alone, her new crutches leaning on the black baby grand piano, trying to write a song to get her mixed feelings out of her head. She was depressed about having to leave her family, and one of her former old friends had decided to badmouth her online. Plus the company had found out they needed three more songs.
Her fingers danced over the keys, then slowed down, and she sang softly,
Hello. It's me. I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet.
She bit her lip, then let her fingers wander, making a tune out of it within twenty minutes. Soon, she wrote down the lyrics, and sang it, then named Hello. After she put the papers to the side, she started playing again, muttering softly,
I'm right before your eyes. I'm breaking...no past, no reasons why, just you and me. She held the note on me for a good while, then started moving her fingers faster. She wrote another song, one she called The Last Time. Finally, she wrote the last required song, naming it Come Back, Be Here. Then she looked up at the ceiling, listening through the open window as her sister and her boyfriend walked past.
"Everybody wants to steal my girl, I gotta protect her." She heard him say. Normally, it would make her gag, but now she got an idea, and lifted her hands, cracking her knuckles, and considered, then slammed them down gently, playing a tune as it came into her head, magically working into a song. She bit her lip as she played, then nodded her head along with it, as it came along, then wrote it down, trying to figure out words. But somehow, it didn't work. So she sighed in irritation, putting down the papers, and picked up her crutches, They're like Niall's from when he had surgery and went out in search of her sister's boyfriend, and asked him some questions, then went back inside and sat on the piano bench again, writing the words quickly. She picked up the papers and held them up in satisfaction, then put them in a folder and tucked it under her arm as she went upstairs to her room. Once in her room, she put the folder on her night stand, carefully lying down on her bed, then picked up her phone, sending a text message to the boys' management team.

"Becca, come on, you gotta get up now." Becca opened her eyes to see Harry sitting on the edge of her bed, resting his hand on her arm. She sighed and turned onto her back, saying softly,
"I don't want to leave."
Today was the day, slash morning, that Katy and Becca were leaving to start promoting their album. It was three o'clock in the morning right now, because Becca and Katy had chosen to get an early flight to California, where the business started.
Becca got up, changing once Harry left, then went downstairs, hugging her family and the lads of 1D goodbye, hugging Harry goodbye last.
They hugged for at least five minutes, then she reluctantly got in the taxi, looking out the window at the dark skies.
