It's been along time since I didn't have a nightmare. Once the doctor clear me to go we went back to the house and I slept. No dreams, I'm liking this day. I look over to find Johnny, once again, on the floor. Dead to the world. I smile. I make my way downstairs to find mister Wilcox already downstairs. He never gets up before me. I look at the clock, I slept in! I start to run back upstairs to get ready when mister Wilcox asks, "Where are you going?"" To school." I say, like its the most obvious thing in the world."Don't you remember, you just came out of the hospital. Plus there was an explosion, schools closed." He says. Oh yeah! I forgot all about the explosions!" Oh, right." I say." Your just going to have to be creative." He replies. The idea comes to me immediately." I'm going to go out, tell Johnny to text me when he's done snoring, bye." I say quickly. I want to get to it." Ok..be safe." He says suspiciously. I walk out the door, and start running.

I went to the place I have been coming to for years. An old abandon warehouse at the edge of town. I am a little bit nervous, but I want to see what I can do. So I get in an big open room. Then I try and find that anger. "You can do this, you can do this." I tell myself. It's easy to be angry. I feel it I try harder and try and channel it through my whole body. I aim my  palms out and with a whoosh blue flames flow out of my hands and hit a concrete wall ahead of me. I smile I start to fool around with shoot it behind me and doing trick shots. I start shaking and stop. How can I do this with so much hate. It's hard to know I might have wanted to kill Douglas. I had to control the anger. I know what I had to do and headed on my way.

I make my way back home. I see this crowd forming, I move in. "What's happening?" I ask. "Someone died of radiation." The person says. My mind spends. The flares must of affected the whole town! That means there will be more death and more powers? I run back home. "Hey can you believe that their closing the highways?" Johnny asks as i come in. "Why." I ask mind still spinning. "Well, apparently someone died of radiation and they don't want anyone coming in." Johnny says in a matter-a-fact tone. "Why aren't they evacuating the town." I ask. "Cause, apparently it's airborne, like a disease, they said they've never seen a case like this one, so we will either die, or develop mutations." He says sarcastically. "It's not funny, one person has already died." I say. "Right, sorry." He apologizes. "How do you know if your infected or not?" I ask already knowing the answer. "Well, it depends on how long you've been here, like the guy that died had been here since he was a kid, and he was thirty-four, so I guess me and you are done." He says. "Thanks." I say sarcastically. "Does the government know the side affects no mutations of the radiation?" I ask. "Well they said that some unusual behavior, maybe some increased abilities or the human body, it depends. Um, increased brain activity, and maybe, in some rare cases, super powers can you believe that?" He says. "Wait. How do you know all this stuff, you fall asleep during the announcements during school?" I ask. "Hey you can't prove that, and it's interesting stuff." He says in defense. Well that explains me and Douglas. "People have been really mad knowing their fate is 50 percent chance of death involved." Johnny says snapping me out of my thoughts. "What happened?" I ask. "Well there has been crimes with some pretty strange stuff, with unexplained escapes and brake ins,"  He answers. "these mutations make people into freaks dude." In that sentence I knew I couldn't tell him. He would view me as a freak. "Well, we'll be one of them soon anyway." He continues. I want him to stop. It's annoying. "I gotta go, see ya." I say quickly. "Hey where ya going, there about to come back on with more." He says. "No, I really need to go." I say and head out the door, even though I just got back. I can't go anywhere. So I just walk for awhile. Then i hear an explosion. "Really, again?" I whisper to myself. I run towards it. Some people might run away, but I guess I'm the heroic type. I see that our towns bank has a big hole in the front of it. I run in, look for anyone that's hurt. Immediately I see two people laying on the wall at the back of the bank. "Hey, what happened?" I whisper, I don't want the person who did this to hear me if it was what i think it is. All the guy did was point toward the vault room, where presumably the person responsible for this is. "He's armed." He whispered. I nod. I hear some racket and, "What are you saying out there, I thought I told you to be quiet." A man said. I hear him coming and I see my chance. I know i should probably contact the cops, but this has to be stopped right know. I get right by the door to where he couldn't see me when he comes out. He opens the door and I make my move. I hit him pretty hard in the face. He staggers and I go in but, he punches me in the stomach, we tangle and we land some pretty good hits on each other, then reaches for something in his pocket. "Oh, that's not fair." I say. He raises a gun, aimed at my chest. "Fine  if we get to cheat..." I say . I ignite my hands with fire. His eyes wide up and he shoots.

Well it's a good practice to see how hot I go, hot enough to stop a bullet before it hits me. No problem. I fling the fire from my hands and I put a lot of force into it and find the anger. The bullet explodes with a loud bang. The thug is in shock. I go up to him breathing heavily and as soon as he sees that he drops to the ground. I can hear the sirens from a block away, I tie the thug up quickly. As much as I want to stay and help these people, the police ask to many questions and I can't let them know what I can do. So I run out of the bank, but the cops are too close, oh why did I have to play hero. I can't think about that right now, I have to think of a fast way to get away from this. I can't be a lab rat. So I aim my hands at the ground and ignite my hands and shoot a beam of fire at the ground. I don't know what I hope to accomplish, but I'm desperate. So I try to boost me to safety. It starts off smooth then I start loosing control. I start to really heat things up if I'm going to go, I'm going to go down far from here. I start spinning, fast, really fast. Then I land on my face in a garbage can. That hurt. It worked though, I think. Once the dizziness wares off I look around. I recognize where I am. I am a block away. Ok, I really need to get back it's already five o'clock. I can't believe I just did that, I would love to take credit, but I'm worried of what they would do. I'm sure they'd find out. In ten minutes I'm back at home. Of coarse Johnny's there to meet me. "Hey, where have ya been?" He asked. "Just out, getting fresh air." I say, try not to sound suspicious. I think I failed. "Well, while you've been 'getting fresh air' there's been some juicy news about the radiation." He says eyebrows raised. "What happened?" I ask nervous for the answer. "Well the government is making all radiation affected notify themselves and be treated, effective immediately." He explains. "What if they don't agree?" I ask, horrified. "That's not a choice, they will get them one way, or another, they got the go ahead. Sam they need help." He answers. "I know." Is all I can say. Johnny can't say it, but, I think their going to hunt the mutants who don't agree.
