Cloud Strife x Reader - You're Wonderful

Chapter 3

"Are there any packages for me (y/n)?"
Cloud asked as he strolled in behind you shutting the front door. "A few. I think..." You heard an amused sigh from behind you as you trailed off trying to remember where Tifa would've put them.

You rummaged around in various different cupboards searching for the packages in question. "Ahh there they are!" You exclaimed. You had to crawl into the cupboard to get to them so you kind of had your butt sticking up as you forgot about the awkward man standing within your presence.

"Hope you don't mind the view Cloud" you smirked at your comment as you heard him shift uncomfortably behind you.

You grabbed the boxes and dragged them out of the cupboard and onto the floor, then proceeded to tidy the space up around you and hand the packages to cloud. "Thanks" he muttered as he took them. His hands slightly grazed over the top of yours as he took the pile and you blushed slightly.

He turned around and headed outside. "Hey, woah, wait a sec mr!" You hastily followed after him and grabbed his black sleeve after he packed the parcels away.

"Where do you think you're going?" You questioned.

"To work"

"But you've just got here!"

"I'm aware of that"

You scoffed at his answer to that but brushed it off.  "Aren't you forgetting something?"

"No"

You scrunched your face up at that and huffed. He raised his eyebrows at you and leant his head forward slightly to give you a hint that he still didn't know what you were talking about.

"Wow Cloud you really do have a terrible memory don't you.... You're forgetting me!" He now looked even more lost than before so you had to explain.

"You said that you were going to take me with you the next time you got some packages to deliver but you said it was too dangerous last time so you'd take me this time."

"Bu-"

" aaaaand" you cut him off "nothing bad is going to happen to me. After all, you're there and Zack has been making me train with him so I've gotten better with my sword."

You both sternly stared at each other for a few seconds until he finally gave in and sighed. He closed his eyes and knotted his eyebrows together and looked up "fine ok you can come with me. But, if anything, and I mean anything, weird happens I'm bringing you straight back."

"YAY! THANKS SPIKY" you let go of his sleeve and ran inside to get your sword, knives and phone. You tied your (h/l) (h/c) hair into a ponytail to keep it out of the way and wrote a note to Tifa telling her you'd gone with Cloud and that he says hi.

When you got back outside you were just finishing strapping your katana to your back and you looked up at Cloud. He was sitting on fenrir and the wind was slightly blowing his hair which just made him look fabulous. But there was something weird about him, he looked.... Scared? There was fear currently present on the blonde's face. Well it may not have been fear but he certainly looked extremely uncomfortable. You were so busy trying to figure out why he looked like that you didn't notice the source of where his current appearance came from approach you and thump you relatively hard on the top of the head.

"OUCH!!" You yelped out and placed both of your hands on the throbbing lump and glared up at the culprit.

And then realised who it was.

Zack.

"What the crap was that for Zack!? HUH!?" You kicked him in the knee which made him hop about for a second and then this entire ordeal turned into a siblings squabble.

"Where do you think you're going (y/n)? And WITHOUT my permission?"

"I'm going with Cloud. And since when did I need your permission to do something!?"

"Because I'm your older brother and I need to know where you are!"

You folded your arms at him. "Since when did you decide that!?"

"Since just now after talking to the emo on the bike"

Cloud looked up at Zack at this point and glared daggers at him for even mentioning the word "emo". He then got over it, rolled his eyes and leant forward leaning on fenrir's handles and listened to you two squabble.

"Zack there's no need for you to get upset about this." You grabbed his wrists firmly and stared at him, straight into his eyes. "I'm going to be fine. I'm going with Cloud of all people, you're  his best friend so you know best of all people that he wouldn't let anything happen to me."

He looked at you and then hugged you and let you go and began to walk away. "Better look after her Cloudy! Or you'll be dealing with me when you get back!" "Thanks Zack! Love you Bro!!" You shouted after him and he stuck one hand up and waved as he walked off.

You hopped over to Cloud who had the look of a zombie on his face. "Sorry about that. He can be very protective about me going places where he isn't around....." You trailed off trying not to let certain memories crawl back into your mind. (A/N- you'll find out about this later~)

He seemed to catch on that it was a touchy subject and didn't question you. "It's fine, I understand. Get on."

He sat up as you got on behind him and handed you a pair of goggles. You slipped them on and brushed your bangs out of your (e/c) eyes. He adjusted his goggles and started the bike.

"Grab on" he instructed, so you rapped your arms around his waist and held onto his jacket. You could feel his muscular frame tense slightly as you did so but he soon relaxed and started up the bike.

"Ready?"

"Yeah"

And on that word he took his foot off the ground and you were off speeding through the streets of Midgar. You couldn't wait to see what the outside looked like now. You hadn't left the city in years so you didn't know what to expect.

You breathed in the air and you excited the city and you were then on the road to your first destination.

Sooooooooo..... This chapter was kinda weird and I know it kinda sucks I'm not good with writing. How about some tips they're always welcome! ^.^
