About three years had passed since Zack had passed away and a lot has happened in that time. Avalanche took out the SHINRA company and in the midst of it all a SOLDIER named Sephiroth went insane. Sadly Aerith was one of his victims and Cloud didn't like that very much at all. Now, after two years since those incidents, there was a new threat to humanity.

Geostigma.

All those connected directly to the lifestream contracted it and unfortunately for you, you got it quite badly. The disease has taken hold of your right leg which made it very difficult for you to walk and it was slowly but surely spreading up your body.

It was currently just you, Tifa, Marlene and Denzel living in the house as Cloud left a few months ago to try and find a cure for the Stigma. You hadn't heard from him in a long time. Sometimes you thought about how your relationship started and considered 'accidentally' falling out of the window to see if he would be there to catch you before you hit the floor. But sadly you had common sense and knew that that wouldn't work.

You were currently sitting on your bed bandaging up your leg, considering you had been left in the house by yourself as Marlene and Denzel had run off to go and see Tifa or something. You weren't really sure what was happening to be completely honest.

All you knew is that there was trouble happening with some guys that claimed to be remnants of Sephiroth and that they were after Genova cells and also that there was just some dramatic downpour of rain that just instantly stopped. You only found out about everything not too long ago the same day because Reno and Rude had brought Tifa and Cloud back unconscious and they told you what had happened. Cloud, of course, left before you could say anything to him. He was different after what happened with Zack and the Geostigma had just made everything worse. It was like he was creating distance between all the people that were close to him and you would've gone after him but you couldn't to anything because of your condition.

You must've dozed off because you woke up to feeling a weight on your bed and deep blue eyes looking at you from where the man sat. You stared at the blonde as he gazed back, a sad expression was visible on your pale features as you slowly rose into a sitting position. "Cloud..."

"(Y/n) I-"

You cut him off by engulfing him in a hug. You buried your face into the crook of his neck and you felt safe again. He lightly slid his arms around your figure, being careful not to irritate your skin, and he kissed your hair.

"I'm so-"

"Don't apologise when there's nothing to apologise for. If you do I'll just have to keep cutting you off mid sentence Cloudy." You slightly scolded him but had a little play while you were at it.

"Okay." He spoke into your hair which muffled his voice. "Let's get you fixed up, shall we." He suggested when he pulled away from the hug and smiled at you a little.

"Fixed up?" You looked at him very confused. "Wait..." You grabbed his arm, that would've need covered by a sleeve, and examined it. "It's gone... You found a way to cure it?"

"Yeah" he nodded, "and now we're going to fix you also. Can you stand?" He stood from your bed and held out his hand to you.

"Oh uhh yeah... But not very well..." You took hold of his gloved hand and he gently pulled you up. You had to rely on his strength quite a lot to hold you in place, which you found quite embarrassing, but it made you feel like a bother and a hinderance more than anything else.

He placed your hands on his shoulders and moved slightly as he bent down and picked you up bridal style. "It's alright, I'll carry you."

"B-but I'll be too heavy!"

He just gave you a look that simply told you to stop being an idiot and then proceeded to walk out of your bedroom and make his way to Aerith's church.
-----------------
When you got to the large hall you noticed that it had been changed rather a lot. There were more flowers and more grass, the seats were literally everywhere but what caught your attention most was the rather large pool of water that had appeared in the middle of it.

"How did this happen?" You ask Cloud as he stopped at the edge of the water and stood you up on the cold floor.

"It's a long story... I'll tell you later okay?"

You nodded and smiled to him and then just continued to watch him. He placed a hand in the gravel and then jumped into the small lake and turned around to face you. Cloud lifted his arms up towards you, beckoning for you to bend down and place your hands on his shoulders yet again. You did as instructed even though it hurt a little as he gripped your side but you dealt with it.

He gently lifted you and bought you close to him as he placed you down in the water. You looked down to see blue swirls coming from the lower part of your body and when they stopped you felt completely different. You prodded your side and received no pain as you did so. You looked up at Cloud shocked. "It's gone. It doesn't hurt."

"I know."

You beamed up at him and hugged him once again. He squeezed you back and you then lifted your head from his chest and leant in and kissed him sweetly on the lips. He gently stroked his thumb against your cheek as you held onto his shoulders. He pulled away and smiled down at you, leaning his forehead on yours.

"Welcome back."

"Yeah, I'm back. For good."
