Cloud Strife x Reader - You're Wonderful

Chapter 10

You hopped off the back of Fenrir when you stopped in front a cliff that had some stairs going up the side of it leading to a house. (Like in advent children). Cloud got off as well and started going up the steps and you followed suit.

You watched his hair bob up and down as he walked, "your hair bobs up and down when you walk Cloud". He purposely put more spring in his step after you said that so it bounced even more which made you laugh from behind him.

"Idiot." You lightly punched him in the bicep and he chuckled at you, "[sigh] I guess it's just another thing to add to my list of things I love about you".

You both continued to walk up the steps and then a door came into view. Cloud walked straight up to it, opened it, pulled his sword out and blocked an attack from Reno.

You squeaked slightly at the actions taken as it made you jump. "Good to see you're still as good as ever". The red head spoke to Cloud and looked over to you. "(Y/n)?"

Cloud put down his sword and the next thing you knew you were being engulfed in a hug by your red headed male best friend.

"Hi Reno, long time no see and I can't breathe please let me go" you said in one swift breath. He let go of you and questioned you rapidly, "how are you? Where have you been? How's Zack? How's work? How do you still look this pretty? You got a boyfriend yet? If you don't I'll gladly step in for the role coz damn you're looking fi-OUCH!"

You shut him up with a stamp on the foot before Cloud could get there as you could see a weird aura around him. "I'll answer all of your questions next time Reno. We could meet up at some point but only as friends as I have a boyfriend now".

He looked at you seemingly confused and then smirked. "Ooooo who is it? Give me the gossip!" Seriously, it was like he was your sister sometimes.

"Cloud".

"What about Cloud?" He responded completely missing the point to your answer to his previous question.

"Ugh no Reno. Cloud is my boyfriend". You stated.

He stared at you dumbfounded for a few seconds and then looked across to the blonde haired man and then back to you.

"Does Zack know?"

"Not yet"

He let out a sly smirk to your response and walked over to the window. "Congrats by the way". He then proceeded to change the subject.

"Hey (y/n), you mind waiting outside by the bike? I need to talk to Cloud alone". His voice changed in tone and he was now being serious.

You hesitated slightly before responding, "yeah sure". You hadn't heard Reno sound that serious in a long time. "I'll be down in a bit" Cloud told you and you nodded.

Your hand brushed his as you turned and walked to the door, opened it and walked out.

You took your (h/c) hair out of the ponytail you kept it in and let it blow in the wind as you walked down the steps. You hadn't let your hair down for ages considering how hot it had been lately.

You got to the bottom of the steps and strolled over to the bike and sat on it. You tied your hair back up feeling refreshed.

You leant back and looked up at the sky. The occasional bird would fly past and there were hardly any clouds insight - including your Boyfriend. "It has to have been at least ten minutes by now".

You pouted at the thought and slid forward into Cloud's usual seat on fenrir and scanned your eyes over the shiny front of the bike. Your eyes settled on his phone.

"Ugh he's so careless" you thought and pushed the dangling mobile with your finger slightly and watched it sway from side to side.

You looked up when you heard footsteps on wood and voices. Cloud had finally exited the building and was saying some final things to Reno.

Reno looked down at you from the doorway and you waved with a smile planted on your face and he smiled and waved back but he seemed to look slightly concerned.

Cloud turned and walked down the steps and you continued to watch Reno until you could no longer see him as he closed the door.

The spiky haired man neared you and you shuffled back on the bike to make room for him. Before he sat down he pressed a button and he put his sword away in a compartment and then re sealed it.

He seemed more tense than usual. "What the hell could Reno have said to make them both like this?" You wondered.

"Cloud what's wrong?"

He didn't respond.

"Cloud?"you said louder and placed your hand on his arm. He jumped slightly in his standing position and looked at you. He could read your facial expression very clearly. It almost mirrored his look of concern.

"You know I wouldn't let anyone hurt you while I have breath in my lungs don't you (y/n)?" He gripped the hand you had placed in his arm a little tighter than he meant to and this triggered something in you.

You immediately stood up and wrapped your arms around his neck and brought his head down to your shoulder into a tight, warm and comforting hug.

He wrapped his arms around your smaller frame and squeezed you tightly in his arms.

"Of course honey", you responded softly. "I trust you fully with my life Cloud". You stroked the back of his head and neck reassuring him that it was ok.

You leant back and brought his head up and cupped his cheeks and smiled kindly at him. He held your hand to his cheek and breathed in deeply with his eyes shut.

He re opened them and gazed into your beautiful (e/c) eyes with his magnificent blue ones. "Ok" he spoke finally. "Let's get back to seventh heaven".

"Yeah"

Can't wait to get this part on a role ahaha not that I've thought of it yet....

That moment when you want to write another chapter but it's 00:10 and you have school in the morning.... So sad
