Chapter 18

*Caitlin’s POV*

Much hasn’t been going on since our party about a week ago. Olivia and us girls are so hyped up about the baby and Josh has been smiling non-stop for the past week. Olivia told me about what Louis said and I think he is still on the fence about it but is happy for them.

Today is going to be exciting, Olivia is going to the doctor to hear the baby’s heartbeat. ARGH!!! And I get to go as well!! I can’t wait. Josh, Olivia and I are going in about ten minutes. Louis was going to come as well but the boys are at an interview today.

*20 minutes later*

Olivia and I were sitting in the waiting room waiting for the doctor and for Josh, who slept in and was running a little late which made us laugh. Olivia and I were sitting in the chairs laughing and talking when a puffed out Josh ran through the doors. He scanned the room for us and jogged over to us. He bent down to kiss Olivia and apologised for being late. As soon as he sat down the doctor walked out.

“Miss Tomlinson?” The doctor called.

Josh sighed and we giggled. We all stood up and followed the doctor through to the room. Olivia sat down on the bed in the middle of the room with Josh next to her. I sat down in the chair at the end of the bed.

*Olivia’s POV*

I was so excited for today, I have no idea how I am staying so calm. I sat down on the bed and the doctor started talking to me.

“Hello miss Tomlinson, I’m Dr Myers, how are you today?” She introduced herself to us.

“Hello, I’m good just a little excited” I replied

“How have you been feeling? When did you find out about the baby?” She questioned

“Um yeah not too bad I’ve been feeling a little sick. I find out about ten days ago and the doctor said I was almost ten weeks along” I answered her as she typed on her computer.

“Ok. Now if you can lay down on the bed and lift your top up and we will see if we can find a heartbeat.” She said with a smile.

I nodded and laid down. I lifted my top just above my stomach, which had just started to show but not too much. Josh stood next to me holding my hand while Caitlin got up from her chair and was standing next to Josh rubbing my arm.

The doctor sat down on a chair and grabbed a rod off of a machine standing next to her. She put some gel on it and placed it on my stomach. She pushed down into my stomach a little bit and moved the thingy around. We all waited for that little sound to show up when suddenly

Beep....beep....beep

Its alive. Our baby was there!!! I let a tear trickle down my face and I looked at Josh who started tearing up as well. He bent down and kissed the top of my hand. I looked at Caitlin as she whispered

“My little niece or nephew”

“It may be a little slow but that’s normal for ten weeks. You can come back in two weeks for the twelve week scan” She said cleaning up and turning off the machine. We thanked her and walked out. Josh followed us home where we found the boys. It was about one so they would have got back about half an hour ago.

Caitlin walked in first and I walked in with Josh’s arm around my waist. We walked into the games room where the boys were playing FIFA. Louis paused the game when he saw us.

“So....how did it go?” He asked obviously concerned about everything.

“It was fine, baby had a heartbeat and she told us to come back for a twelve week scan.” Josh explained.
