(Luke's P.O.V.)

Didn't Beau understand?! Jai wasn't okay.

Actually, none of us are.

But sometimes some people make permanent decisions for temporary problems, and Jai is definitely one of those people. I caught him a few years ago harming himself, claiming that he just wanted to feel something, and that scar on his right arm remains to this day.

Ever since that day, the number of things I wonder that Jai could-would do to himself worries me to the core.

And that is why I'm currently pacing my room back and forth, contemplating on what do to next. Something had to be done, and it had to be done now. Jai was a person that could hardly be understood, so I didn't even know what to think. Where was he? What was thinking? Where is he going? What is he going to do?

Knowing my room couldn't give me answers, I decided to go to the one place that might. Jai's room. An off limits location if he isn't home. Though, breaking this rule that could potentially save his life seemed exceptional to me.

I picked the lock of his door, using a hair clip of my mothers. I then slowly opened the door, part of me hoping that he were inside and preparing to yell at me for invading his privacy. Though, his voice never reached my ears. Only silence.

I stepped inside his room, and looked at the art filled walls and splatter paint covered floors. He was no where to be seen, but yet inside every piece of art on his walls he was inside them in some way.

"C'mon Jai, there's gotta be a clue around here somewhere." I mumbled to myself.

I began searching his room for clues, moving loose papers and throwing things around. I grew more frustrated by the second, because I felt like I was running out of time.

When I heard another set of footsteps walk into the room, I snapped my head in its direction. I wanted it to be Jai, who would start screaming at me for practically destroying his room, but it wasn't. It was Beau.

"He hasn't shown up yet?" Beau asked.

I shook my head as a quietly said,

"No."

"It's been about eight hours. He was last seen around noon, and it's 8:05 now. Something's not right." Beau admitted, finally coming to his senses and agreeing with my worried statements from earlier today.

"Oh so now you care?" I scoffed at him.

"He's my brother too Luke. And it's not that I didn't care earlier, it was just that I wasn't thinking straight. You know I love him." He honestly said. I didn't argue with him and further, because I did in fact know that Beau loved Jai. He loved us both dearly and I knew better than to ever question that.

"Have you got any idea as to where he could be?" Beau added in question, starting to look around Jai's room.

"Not a clue. He just has a bunch of pictures everywhere, and they're all of different things." I sighed.

"Okay, but it seems that Jai is a person of pattern." Beau recognized as he looked at a few things in particular.

"What are you talking about? His room if full of random paintings and colors." I said confused.

"Not completely random. Here look at this," Beau said as he walked over to a specific mark of paint on one of Jai's wall.

"That's just a blue line." I shrugged.

"Right, but look directly across from this line to the other wall." Beau said as he pointed to the opposing wall. I did as he said, and strangely enough, the exact same blue line was mirroring the other.
