Chapter Eleven: n

Song: Hypnotic by Zella Day

"Light me up babe." he said all gruff.

Holding the white lighter to his lips, I lit the brown stick between his teeth and lit mines too. Reaching above I ran my fingers through his coarse black hair and snuggled more into his lap the smell of weed engulfing us both.

Opening my mouth I let out a cloud of smoke. I watched the thick dense cloud disappear into the air. It's been two weeks since the party and since I've went back to school. It's all the same with with Cobra.

Sleep.

Wake up.

Smoke.

Get high.

Sleep.

Hangover.

The after effects are so retched, I try not to stop, so I can avoid the pain. Cobra doesn't make matters better either. I'm always alone, he always out doing God knows what, and selling to God knows who. I want to leave him so bad, but I feel like I should stay. I feel like we have a common predicament.

I fix him, he fixes me. I know deep down him black swollen heart beats for me. I myself don't know if I can say the same, but I do feel something for him. The way his lips curve up a little when I dance, the way his arms squeezes me when he sleeps at night. It's the little things that count, like when I was with you.

It's been months and I still connect everything to you. Maybe it's because I'm feeling the same emotions. Maybe I love cobra.

Or maybe it just the drugs.
