"Mommy? How did you and Daddy meet?"

These words from my 7-year-old made me pause in my work of cleaning the dishes. Looking up, I spotted Kakashi with his salmon-colored hair standing in the doorway of the kitchen. Behind him is his older brother Akashi, taller and black-haired with pale skin.

"Heh.. That's a long story," I simply reply.

"Please, Mommy?" they both asked and I purse my lips.

Then, setting down the plate I was currently cleaning and wiping my hands, I walked out into the living room. I sat in the couch and pat my lap. My two children ran over and climbed on.

"Well you see..."

I walked out of my house wearing my comfy, long coat. I held my bag in my arms, which I was pressing it to my chest. It had snowed yesterday so the streets, lawns, and rooftops were blanketed in soft snow. I stepped down the front door stairs and walked out onto the street, looking down.

Even though it was cold, the streets were still filled with people. I walked through them, avoiding getting bumped into.

I paused and looked up, breathing out. Because of the cool air, my breath was visible.

I stopped and stared at someone who had stepped out of the crowd. He had spiky, white hair with black streaks. It was cold but this male was wearing a sleeveless, black shirt with white, stained jeans that was bit poofy.

I seemed to have zoned out but was snapped back to reality as I was suddenly bumped into from behind by someone in the crowd. I stumbled a bit forward and managed to stay standing. However, my bag fell and the stuff fell out of it.

Sighing, I knelt down and began picking the stuff up.

"Hey. Are you okay?" a voice said and I looked up to see the male I was staring at earlier.

I nodded and looked down, continuing to pick my things up. He began helping me.

After a while, I had put most of the stuff back. Looking around, I spotted a book I forgot to put in. I reached towards it but suddenly, I found my hand on top of his. He seemed to have noticed it as well.

I looked up and at the male. He, too, looked at me and we ended up staring at each other, not breaking eye contact.

"This is Midnight. I met him recently. Midnight, these are my friends. The blonde is Rose. The bluenette next to her is Gwen. Over there, the idiotic redhead, is Teshido. And those two clumsy looking ones are Katani and Aisu," I said, pointing to each person as I introduced them.

"Nice to meet you Midnight! Wait.. Clumsy?!" Katani replied, dropping her jaw at the last part.

"Are you strong?!" Teshido asked, flames in his eyes as he grinned excitedly.

"Now Dawny, I will be keeping an eye over you two. I will make sure you find a nice boy and not one of them bad boys with them fancy, leather jackets and them piercings and tattoos," Aisu said, shaking her fingers and pulling out a notepad, scratching down notes.
