The Chronicles of the Mages

So, I haven't had any good ideas for long while. Finally, I've gotten an idea, but this ended up to be a meaningless composition.

But anyway, I guess it could serve as development for the revealing of Clytia and her past with Katani. Anyway, there's that. Also, enjoy the mellow but sweet Kaisu.

P.S.: This song is literally perfect for Katani and Clytia.

"So why did you invite me to the beach today? As I recall, the last time, we threw a fit and fled to the mountains...." Katani inquired of her senpai as the two strode along the boardwalk, a light sea breeze passing over them.

"Well I thought we could use some kind of break, and the beach isn't half bad.." the snowy-haired female replied back with a shrug as she nonchalantly took a bite of her popsicle.

"No one else could come?.." Katani then questioned as they halted to seat themselves upon a bench and gaze upon the crystalline waters, shimmering in the afternoon sun.

"All busy.." An exasperated sigh escaped Aisu's lips. "What are they doing I wonder? Their loss.." she added with a carefree shrug. "Anyway.." A cheeky grin returned to her face after she had taken another bite of her popsicle. "I found us a nice, luxurious hotel to stay at!" she exclaimed gleefully.

"Senpai, this is not luxurious.." Katani stated with a sigh as she gazed around the room. The beds looked as if they were barely holding together, likely blanketed in mold on the underside, and as rough as rags. The maroon rug itself was coarse and tattered similar to the mattress sheets. The wall plaster was chipping, and just as Katani had declared the low quality of the room, a section crumbled and broke off, falling to the raggedy rug in ash.

"This doesn't look like the pictures.." Aisu remarked with an appalled and shameful expression.

"Sleeping under the stars isn't bad."

"Anything is better than that hotel. I don't even care that we've wasted money."

After spreading out their individual sleeping bags and crawling within its warm depths, the two young females cast their gazes across the vast ocean, now shimmering under the ethereal light of the moon. Eventually, exhaustion and sleepiness plagued Aisu and following a yawn and stretch, she lay down. Katani however, crawled out and rose to her feet. Aisu cast a glance at her and blinked.

"I'm going to take a quick walk along the beach.." she said with a warm smile and encouraging thumbs up. "Sleep well Senpai.." the girl said softly before leaping off the rocky cliff upon which they laid.

She fell safely upon the soft sediment blanket below and linking her hands behind her back, Katani began walking alongside the shore. The ocean breeze blew past, fluttering the ends of her hair and of her short yukata. In the casted darkness of the night, the normally vibrant carnation appeared shadowy purple and the flowers upon it navy blue. It only went down to her thighs and thus the female's bare legs down to her shoeless feet felt cool. The traditional garment was a new favorite item of hers to wear, enough so that she may or may not have stolen it from the hotel.. Despite the hotel's bad quality, she was shocked to discover the smooth cotton of the yukata.

Without realizing, the fairy was wandering farther away than she initially or ever intended. Coming across another rocky cliffs and the rocks that surrounded it, she began to climb around them, seeing as how it was necessary. Pausing midway, she caught sight of a pleasant cave up ahead. With her mouth forming an O shape at this discovery, she ventured forward in order to reach her new destination.
