Ellie's POV
As we enter the big glass door I see a long queue of people waiting to take the numbers for their auditions. Some of them seem pretty exhausted . They seem like they have been waiting for years. I walk towards the big crowd and take my spot.

"Ellie what are you doing?" I hear my dad's voice from behind me and everyone turns to look at me.

"Do I know you?" I ask faking a confused expression and my dad rubs his temple frustrated by my behavior.

"If you want to wait for hours then suit yourself." My dad says pointing at the crowd which is still looking at me with a questionable expression.

"Thank you for your offer sir but I think I should wait like the others." I smile kindly to my father and turn my attention back to the weird stares everyone is giving me. I chuckle to myself and raise an eyebrow at them.

"Do I have something in my pretty face?" I say loudly for everyone to hear and all of them just shake their heads and turn their attention back to what they were doing before I came.

Everyone except the red hair jerk who seems like the only one that didn't get my message. I do the only thing I know it works on guys like him. I raise my middle finger and he furrows his eyebrows in confusion. He probably doesn't know it was me yesterday. Good for him.

Someone calls his number and he finally looks away. I swear if he didn't stop looking I would have punched him straight in his face. I cross my arms and look around for something interested to do as I wait.

I spot the old lady with her white long hair falling down her small shoulders sitting behind the desk with the numbers of the contestants. Hmm.. She seems so tired. Maybe I should just let her be. She's not the kind of person who likes to get pranked. I look around once more but nothing interesting catches my attention. I groan. This is going to be a long morning.

Someone hits my back and I turn around to see a short girl with short shoulder-length black hair and blue eyes holding a guitar bigger than her.

"I'm so sorry!" she apologizes with a frightened expression and I shrug.

"Never mind.." I say boredom lacing my voice and she releases a big breath. She's dressed very casually with a pair of dark blue jeans and a white T-shirt unlike the other girls who are wearing tight dresses. I already like her.

"Looks like the beginning of a new friendship." I say smiling and extend my hand.

"I'm Ellie." I say and wait for her to speak. She looks between my hand and my face but doesn't say a word. After a few seconds she finally shakes my hand.

"I'm Laura! Sorry for my weird behavior but I'm a bit scared of the people here. Have you heard the rumors?" she asks lowering her voice and looks around afraid that someone might hear her.

"Yeah. I've heard." I say casually. Of course I've heard because I'm the one spreading them . Duh.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to reveal your secrets and humiliate you in front of thousands of viewers.. Or am I?" I ask playfully but when I see her gulp I can't help but hold my laugh.

"Relax! I'm just joking!" I say and burst out laughing. Everyone turns to look at me once again. What's wrong with them?

"What?!" I yell to them but this time no one seems to get my message.

"I'm bored.." Laura says earning back my attention.

"Me too." I say and put my hand on my chin thinking of something to do to pass my time.

"Let's play a song." I suggest pointing at her guitar.

"Here?" she asks and I nod.

"Why not?" I ask as I look around.

"I don't know. They will kick us out." she says and I shake my head.

"Do you prefer to die from boredom?" I ask her and she laughs.

"Nah.." she says as she takes out her guitar and hands it to me. I take it in my hands and start playing with the strings. I play the first song that pops into my head.

"I thought that I've been hurt before
But no one's ever left me quite this sore.
Your words cut deeper than a knife
Now I need someone to bring me back to life..
Got a feeling like I'm going under
but I know that I'll make it out alive
If I quite calling you my lover
Move on
You watch me bleeding till I can't breath
Shaking, falling into my knees
Come on!"

I motion the crowd around me to sing and they follow my rhythm.

" And now that I'm without your kisses I'll be needing stitches!" We all sing along when we hear a voice.

"Stop it!" The old lady shouts almost spitting at the people around her and everyone walks away and take their spots.

"This bitch." I mutter to myself.

"Watch your language young lady or else I'm going to kick you out!" she says extremely angry and I roll my eyes. That seems to make her angrier if it's even possible and she becomes red.

"You-" She tries to say but a voice cuts her off.

"Come on Mrs. Breda let her be. She's not the type of girl that complies with orders." The voice says and I bit my lip. Who the fuck said that? I turn around and see the annoying boy from earlier.

"What did you say?" I ask trying to remain calm.

"Except from being rude are you deaf too?" he asks and I hear someone chuckle. Oh boy. You don't know who you're messing with.

"Did you say something? Because you're too low for me to hear." I hear some "oooh burn" and I smirk to him. He raises his eyebrows and shakes his head in fake disappointment.

"You're literally too stupid to be insulted." he says and I clench my fists. I choose to ignore him and wait for my turn to take my number. He fortunately chose not to continue with his stupid comebacks and I'm glad.

After a couple of minutes I take my number and head to the auditorium. I enter the room and see the five judges sitting on their desk in front of the stage and my palms start to sweat.

"Hello. What's your name?" The woman with the blonde hair and big glasses asks.

"Ellie . Ellie Lockhart." I say and they all nod.

"You can start whenever you are ready." she says and I clear my throat. I take a deep breath and try to relax.

" Electric lights
Blow my mind
But I feel alright
And never stop, it's how we ride
Comin' up until we die

You catch my eye
Bitch, you wanna fly
I'm so alive

Never stop, it's how we ride
Comin' up until we die

I don't wanna go to school
I just wanna break the rules
Boys and girls across the world
Putting on our dancing shoes
Going to the discotheque
Getting high and getting wrecked
I don't wanna go to school
I just wanna break the rules" I sing and dance using all the stage to my advantage. I do a backflip and continue my song in a lower voice.
"I don't wanna go to school
I just wanna break the rules!" I lower my voice even more and do the unexpected. I jump into their desk and start moving my hips to the beat. All of them watch me speechless with their mouth's hanging open.

" I don't wanna go to school
I just wanna break the rules!" I raise my voice and jump off their desk and back to the stage. I'm enjoying this too much. I feel adrenaline run through my veins ,my body unconsciously moves to the beat and my head feels ready to explode from excitement.

"Na na na na na na na! Naa!" I finish the song and try to catch my breath. Then I start walking away with the biggest smile I've ever wore. I exit the auditorium and see Laura.

"Wow! That was- That was rebellious!" she says cheerfully jumping up and down.

"You think?" I ask and she nods.
