"Where are you going?" Alex asks me as I turn to leave. I stop dead in my tracks. Of course he wants something more in order to keep my illegal secret safe. I don't dare to look back at him because I'm sure I will kill him if I see his stupid smirk again.

So instead I wait for him to say what he wants. After some minutes of strangely comfortable silence I decide to break it.

"So..?" I ask still with my back at him. I hear his footsteps and I hold back a groan.

"What do you want?" I ask exhausted turning to look at him but it's quite difficult to see his face in the dark.

"Nothing.. I just want to hang out with you." He says running his hand through his red hair and sighs. Liar.

"Spill the beans." I demand with venom slipping from my voice.

"I'm not lying. Your whole appearance screams danger and I like it." He admits jokingly and I scoff.

"Fuck off." I curse and he laughs shaking his head in disbelief.

"You on the other side scream 'jerk' so I'm leaving." I say with boredom in my voice.

"How about going to a club?" He suggests ignoring what I just said. I roll my eyes and he raises both of his eyebrows.

"Maybe your secret will be safer that way." Is he blackmailing me? How dare him!

"Are you blackmailing?" I ask him calmly even though the anger is boiling inside me but I won't let it come to the surface. He seems to think about it and nods.

"Maybe.." He says in a low voice trying to sound hot but if he thinks that's attractive then.. He's right. Damn this boy. He's extremely annoying.

"Okay." I say hesitantly and he offers me his hand which I reject without another thought. He shrugs and starts walking out of the alley with me beside him. We walk down the freezing cold streets and I shiver.

I feel quite nervous because this is the first time I go to a club. Yeah I know what you're thinking. A rebellious spoilt 16-year-old girl like me has never been to a party or club? Yeah that's the truth.

We walk closely to each other due to the lack of space on the pavement and his shoulder bump against mine making me gulp. This kind of approximate scares me.

After a good 10 minute walk we reach a small corner club close to our competition's apartments. Alex pushes the door open and it hits the wall loudly but nobody seems to notice because they're clearly used to it or too drunk.

It's weird that nobody stopped us when we entered. Kids in our age are not allowed in such places. Or at least that's what I thought.
The place is very crowded with teenagers in our age but older people also. I feel someone's stare at my back and turn around.

A boy probably a couple of years older approaches me with a leer smile on his face. He tries to place his arm on my shoulder and I push him away. He stumbles and falls on the table behind him with a grunt. I hear Alex chuckle and I turn my attention back at him.

"Let's go grab some drinks." He says and motions me to follow him as he pushes some people out of our way.

"I can't drink. I'm 16. How old are you?" I ask him taking a seat on a bar stool.

"I'm 18." He says and the man behind the bar gives him two beers.

"You can't drink too. I mean-"

"Shush. Just drink!" He says handing me a bottle and I take it. I take a sip and my eyes start to water. Yikes. I officially don't like beer.

A tall blonde girl makes her way towards us and I smile to myself. Finally I will get rid off him.
