✔⚫Ellie's POV⚫✔

"Where are we going?" I ask Alex as he carefully places me on the passenger seat of his car.

"We're going to get you home." He says while buckling the seatbelt for me.

"You know.. I still have hands!" I state the obvious waving repeatedly my hands in front of his face making him roll his eyes as he closes my door and gets to the driver seat.

"I don't wanna go home! Wait.. by home you mean the room in which I'm staying for the competition?" I ask even more sad while my lips transform into a feeble pout.

"You are in pain Ellie." Alex says says as he takes off with an unrecognizable look on his face.

"Loosen up! The doctor said I will be just fine." I say shaking my head whining. "It's not even your fault I hit my head." I mutter under my breath disappointed we're heading back home.

I see him stiffen and my eyes shoot up in confusion. What's wrong with him? He is acting pretty strange.

"Even if I don't care, I will ask. What's wrong?" I ask with a serious look on my face turning to look at him. His eyes meet mine for a brief moment before he turns his attention back to the road.

"Nothing's wrong." He says as we stop at a red light.

I try standing straighter but the back of my head starts burning and pain overtakes my whole body making me winced.

"Put this behind your head." He says as he takes off his hoodie and places it right behind my head.

"Something's definitely wrong with you." I mutter silently but blatantly loud enough for him to hear it, hence he rolls his eyes at me taking off again as the light turns green.

My phone vibrates in my jeans pocket grabbing my attention and I answer it without looking the callers' ID.

"What?" I ask the person on the other end since my headache doesn't leave much energy to try and be polite.

"Ellie. Dad's here." My dad says making me tilt my head to the side and look around in search of him.

"Where?" I ask him still scanning the streets we're passing for any sign of my parent.

"Ellie.. I meant that I'm your dad you're talking to." He says his voice turning serious incurring me to roll my eyes when I realized what he meant.

"I thought I was talking to Hulk." I mock biting the inside of my cheek to restrain myself from laughing.

"Ellie!" My dad yells frustrated seeking for respect but since I'm the one he's talking to, he should just laugh at himself for trying.

"Where are you?" He asks sternly earning an eye roll from me which he gladly can't see.

"I'm heading to the 'stage'." I say sighing as I hear a groan escape his mouth. Stage is called the place the contestants are currently staying.

"How did you hit your head lollipop?" He asks clearly concerned leaving his stern attitude behind for a moment which earns a sigh of relief from me.

"I don't remember. Didn't the doctor tell you that I can't remember anything from the last couple of days?" I ask him confused. She said she will call my father as soon as we leave.

"She did. But she said that you will eventually start remembering things." He says heaving a long sigh.

"Well by saying eventually, I'm rest assured she didn't mean an hour after I wake up." I say shaking my head at my dads' impatience.
