Looking in his eyes makes me feel warm. Like I'm safe and happy. I feel like I could stare at his eyes forever and I'd be absolutely ok.

The man grabbed my hand to help me up. His hands felt strong. There was comfort coming from him as we got up slowly, eyes still locked.

"It's ok. Accidents happen," I tell him while still looking into those eyes. His eyes.

He let's out a small smile. That's when Mary-Beth comes to stand right next to me.

"I'm so sorry to interrupt this all, but we..um..we have to get going," she says, her voice shaky.

That's when I finally realized that there are three boys behind him; Niall, Liam, and Louis. When I turn to focus back on the man in front of me, I see Harry. Harry Styles. My heart skips a beat. Or two. Maybe three.

"You're Harry Styles!" I say with amazement. I've always imagined meeting him. How it would be at their concert and I would meet him backstage. I never thought I'd bump into him on the streets.

My thoughts leave when Mary-Beth grabs my arm pulling me away.

"We have to go or else, we'll be late," she says to me.

She drags me to the end of the block. My eyes still focused on Harry, and his on me.

"What's your name?" He calls out to me.

"Maria," I say while Mary-Beth and I turn the corner. I could swear he smiled.

"Oh my gosh. I can't believe that just happened. We just ran into One Direction! Oh my gosh. We didn't get a picture or an autograph. When will something like this ever happen again? We just blew our chance," she says. "Well, it's too late now. Let's hurry up so we're not late."

I don't pay attention as we walk and she talks. All I can think about are those eyes. Those beautiful green eyes.

...

We get to Jess's house for the party just in time to help set up. I help with the decorations while Mary-Beth helps in the kitchen. Before I know it, the house is full of guest and it's 1p.m. I head out to the backyard where the dancing is. I find Mary-Beth leaning against the table.

"Hey," I say to her.

"Hey," she says with a smile.

"Do you want to dance?"

"Sure," she says and we make our way to the dance floor.

Bachata is playing and we start to dance. We hang out at the party for a couple more hours and next thing we know, it's 10 p.m. We are exhausted and ready to go home.

We say bye to everyone and make our way out of the house.

Our walk home is fast and we are home before we know it. Mary-Beth goes to the kitchen to prepare our weekly Friday night ice cream sundaes while I go to hop in the shower and get this makeup off of me. When I get out of the bathroom, I go to my room to put on my pajamas and meet Mary-Beth in the kitchen.

"Hey. Do you want vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream?" She asks me.

"Both," I say with a huge smile.

She does exactly that and gives me both. I decorate my ice cream and begin to eat.

"Did you see the picture Jess tagged us in on Facebook?" She asks me.

"No. I haven't been on my phone all day." I go to my room to retrieve my phone and head back to the kitchen. When I turn the phone on, I'm surprised at my lock screen. "That's weird. My lock screen is different. Omg! I have 51 missed calls and 106 text messages!"

Mary-Beth looks at me like I'm crazy. I try to type in my password but it doesn't work. I retype it and nothing.

"My password doesn't even work. What's going on?"

She grabs my phone and types in the password 5 times. Nothing. "Wait a second. You dropped your phone when you bumped into Harry, correct?"

"Yes."

She looks at me with wide eyes. "Maria! Harry's phone fell out of his pocket. I think you might have grabbed his phone and he grabbed yours," she says to me.

I look down at the screen, and when I do, someone is calling the phone. My number appears on the screen.
